She turned page after page reading each word with an entrancement, and created an imagery world around those words that were written in the book. Amused she wanted to read more and suddenly an urge to visit that forest built in her again. It has been four days since she visited the forest with Meeti. The dreams have been still prevalent taking up her nights and she couldn't shake them off as she did when she had not visited that place and met that certain creature who lurked in the forest with his amber eyes roaming around.
She looked around herself and saw nothing but the mass of ice that surrounded her. She tried to move her limbs but couldn't and realized the coldness had immobilized her limbs, and her freedom was curtailed because of that. Her eyes roamed everywhere to far distance where her sight could take her but she didn't find any soul breathing in there. Her eyes longed for someone to come and free her from the torment of ice that didn't let her move. She wanted to move and enjoy the white powdery snow which had now started to ascend from the realms of heaven.
"Somebody help", she cried waiting for an answer but what only came was the echo of her question.
"Is there anyone out there?", she continues, trying to thrash her stuck hands and feet but nothing works.
"My petal, the love of my life, you need to try harder, try to get to me, try to meet me amid all ills", she heard someone say but couldn't point to the source of that voice.
"Help me!! Where are you?", she asked for help again.
"I am right here, where you left me, still waiting for you...come to me, love. Let's get back to our world which is waiting for you" she again heard the same voice say but couldn't see who that voice belonged to and what his words meant.
That was what she woke up to. The cries of someone calling for her, to return to the world that was supposedly hers and she couldn't shake of the feeling. It was anything but pleasant and thus she rushed to the library and dug in the books to find the answers to her dreams. She was turning the pages reading how the werewolves came into existence and was enticed, at how the supreme and powerful creature started as a curse of their deity - the Moon Goddess.
Once upon a time, in an era long past, she roamed and thrived on this majestic land. A land now marred by plastic and waste, but in her time, it was a paradise of lush flora and towering trees. The vivid colors of blooming flowers and the protection of mighty forests enveloped all beings, both large and small, in a harmonious embrace. Her beauty was mesmerizing, her grace unparalleled, and her strength unmatched by any other. She was the very essence of equilibrium in this world. The animals adored her with unwavering affection, while humans held a mixture of reverence and fear towards her, recognizing her as a force not to be trifled with.
On one of those fateful nights when the moon goddess with the moonlight was nowhere present when she was the weakest of all times, she decided to walk down the paths and see if everyone was at peace and in comfort, but what she never realized was it is the darkness that harbors the dangers, the hides the crimes and it is the darkness where the incident so cruel take place.
While crossing the forest she was met with such people, who had neither respect nor fear but held a desire, a desire to do the unthinkable to her. She was able to read it in their eyes and seeing how they were so elaborately dressed and equipped she knew they were not powerful in that moment. It was the rarest moment where the moon goddess felt herself shuddering in fear, not because of what was to come, but because if they did what she was thinking of, something would change.
"Dare you come near me!!", she thundered, trying to stop their approaching steps. They shrugged it off.
"I see now, why you are so loved and desired. Not many will accept but you are deeply desired by everyone male walking on this planet.", one of them spoke and it burned her insides to hear such comments about her.
