WREN'S HEAD WAS POUNDING as she slowly woke up. She groaned and rolled onto her back, feeling rocks and twigs digging into it. Through bleary vision, she looked up, seeing the clear night sky through the leaves of the trees above her.

And someone was calling her name.

"Larson? The Invisible Woman, do you copy? Larson, are you there?"

God, Waller's voice was so not who she wanted to be hearing right now.

Slowly, while ignoring her boss, she sat up and looked around, expecting to see Rick lying beside her. But he was nowhere to be found. Neither was Harley, for that matter.

"Rick?" she called out, her voice barely above a whisper. "Rick?"

As she got up, she began searching the jungle for him. She was so desperate to find him and make sure he was okay. But she came up empty-handed.

At least until she stumbled upon his abandoned gun, which was a horrible sign.

She took in a deep breath and closed her eyes while leaning against the base of a tree, trying so hard to stay calm. To convince herself she wasn't about to die on this island because Waller wouldn't care enough about an extraction or rescue mission.

Then she switched on the receiver on the comm in her ear, finally responding. "Waller?"

She couldn't be sure, but she swore she almost heard a sigh of relief. Wren couldn't exactly blame her considering most of the team was dead on the beach.

"Larson, status report."

Still catching her breath, Wren looked at her surroundings. "Uh, jungle all around me. No Rick or Harley. Everyone else died on the beach. Even... even Boomer."

Tears prick at her eyes, which she furiously wiped away. Boomer wouldn't want her crying over him. If anything, he'd laugh at her for being so soft.

"Yours is the only location we have. Quinn was taken captive by the soldiers. No word on Flag," Waller told her. "I need you to head west. You'll run right into the Bravo Team's camp. I'll tell them to be expecting you."

Wren frowned, Waller's words not making sense. "Bravo Team? A - are you telling me you have other operatives on this island?"

"Yes."

"Right, and were they met with an army when they arrived?" she asked accusingly.

Waller simply said, "No."
