It had been a long and disappointing day at the office. I was glad I could finally head home because reading the amount of paperwork and the conversation with my legal team had drained me.

My house was quiet when I got inside, a comforting contrast to this day. I assumed Jace was still at work, seeing his car wasn't parked on the driveway. Also, it wouldn't surprise me if he drove straight to Josh's house to watch the game – it was Josh's turn to welcome everybody at his place.

With Jace being gone, I could rush through the house without being looked at. I dropped my keys on the table by the door, and rushed to our bedroom. I hastily freshened up and reapplied a bit of make-up. Despite my reflection looking back at me with tired eyes, it would never make me cancel tonight's plans.

I slipped into something more casual for tonight. Grabbing my purse, I hurried out of the door and got into my car.

The city lights turned on when I was on my way to Harry. Compared to this morning, traffic wasn't much of a hassle so it made it easy to be there in time. Seeing how my day went, I was glad Harry always took the lead during the times we were going to meet up.

I made it to a secluded, upscale complex just out of the city. There I parked my car and looked around; searching for Harry's vehicle. However, I couldn't spot his Range Rover at all – it was nowhere in sight.

Instead of getting out and walking around the parking lot, I stayed seated in my car. Waiting for him to arrive would draw less attention than paving back and forth in a parking lot.

The minutes ticked by slowly, each one filled with a nervous energy I couldn't shake. I was excited to see him again, making this waiting game very tough.

After what felt like too long, I noticed his car appearing in my rearview mirror. A nervous smile appeared on my face, and I couldn't wipe it off no matter how hard I tried. He pulled up behind me, and I felt the heat rising to my cheeks. Then he got out of his car, dressed in jeans and a black long sleeve. A dark brown leather bag was slung over his shoulder, giving him an effortlessly rugged look that was insanely attractive. I liked the fact I was able to see him wear all these different types of clothes, because he suited everything.

I got out of my car and instantly locked eyes with Harry. The smile that shown up on his face when he saw me was heartwarming. I felt a flutter in my chest.

"Hey," Harry greeted me before he leaned in and pressed a tender kiss on my cheek. His touch lingered just long enough to make my skin tingle.

"Hi," I responded. "I see you packed to stay the night."

"I am," he confirmed. "I was secretly hoping you had packed a bag yourself."

"I couldn't make that happen," I let him know, disappointing the both of us for the fact I couldn't stay. "Next time, I'll make sure I can stay the night."

"Can't wait," Harry told me as he put a piece of hair behind my ear. "Do you want to get the key with me? Or do you want to wait outside?"

"I can come with. I'm sure that's no problem." I said.

He placed his hand on my lower back, guiding me toward the entrance of the complex. Whenever he had one of his hands against my body, I had to stop myself from telling him I wanted to feel his hands all over me. For now, I just bit on the inside of my cheek – restraining myself.

When I stepped inside, I first noticed that the lobby was quite simple before I saw the young man behind the desk. He looked welcoming and professional at the same time.

"Good afternoon," he greeted us. "How can I help?"

"I've booked one of the apartments," Harry said.

"Could you give me your last name, sir?"
