This takes up where the other left off, except in Roses point of view.
Crona! Crona Crona Crona, you're alive! How is he alive, I thought Medusa killed him. Oh, I'm so happy, but how has he been? Is he alright? Where is medusa now? My thoughts were all over the place, but I couldn't take my eyes off Crona, my twin. Even when the loud one, Black Star, stopped his speech, I wasn't paying attention.
"Rose," Simon said quietly, touching my shoulder." We'll start school tomorrow, are you up for it?" I nodded, still looking at Crona. "You'll even be in classes with me and Crona, Dr. Steins class. And Kid has been kind enough to let us stay with him, Liz, and Patty." I finally turned from Crona, blushing. I looked at the boy who had been busy organizing the shelf of medicine, Kid, and to Liz and Patty.
"Thank you, I hope we won't be a burden." I say, with a slightly stronger voice than before, though still softly. Simon handed me a fresh set of clothing and several hair ties, which I put on my bandaged wrist. Crona took my hand, and we shared another glance.
"So, you'll be staying? You won't leave?" Crona's voice cracked on the last word, and I smiled a bigger smile than I had in a long time.
"I won't lose you again. I'm staying." I squeezed his hand.
We caught up, and Crona told of the battle with the Kishin, how Maka saved him, (Maka blushed at his recollection and I laughed) he told of their most recent battle, and I realized something.
"We were less than ten miles from each other yesterday... I fought Arachne shortly after she revived. Ugh, spiders." I shuddered.
"Oh yeah..." Crona began, "Medusa died in the battle." He smiled a little, and I couldn't believe it. I started hyperventilating and the madness was grabbing at me. I panicked, because Simon had left to help Kid set up our room. I grabbed a small knife on the side table and ripped open the bandages on my left arm, revealing hundreds of tiny spider bites. The knife cuts into my flesh, although just barely, and black blood spills out. Before I knew it, I'm restrained, my arm rebandaged and Simon is calming me down and pulling me back.
"You're happy, right?" Maka said. I nodded.
"It's just a lot to take in. My mother, the woman who made us suffer so much, deemed me unfit and tossed me out in the garbage so she could hurt Crona more, is dead. I'm happy. Ha. Haha." I laughed, and couldn't stop, not even Simon could make me stop. But I did, eventually.
When I was released from the infirmary, Simon, Crona and I made our way to Kid's house. It was large and was similar to Shibusen.
Kid led us to our room, and I noticed a strange pattern in the rooms we passed.
"Hey, Kid," Simon asked, "why is everything so..."
"Symmetrical?" Kid finished, "because symmetry is perfection. Don't worry, your room is symmetrical too." Simon sighed.
"Is that why you wouldn't let me help set up?"
"Exactly." Kid turned the doorknob on a door and it opened to a room with three beds, three chairs, and the wallpaper was patterns, each with eight skulls. What an odd number, eight. Although, it is an even number. Even, odd, left, right, why must we label everything?
"Thank you, Kid." Simon glanced at me and left with Kid to meet Kid's weapon partners, Liz and Patty. The beds were all pushed up against each other to form one large bed, so Crona and I each grabbed a pillow and sat next to each other, hugging them. Wait, I don't need this. I have my twin right here. We both seemed to realize this at the same time, and he put his head on my shoulder as we lay down, and drift off to sleep in the middle of a ten foot bed in the home of a Shinigami.
