Sakura's entire body felt weighted down, her mind caught in a fog thicker than anything she had ever experienced. For once, her thoughts were distant, unreachable. The cold water from the shower jolted her, dragging her halfway back to consciousness. She blinked her eyes open, her senses distorted, barely registering the icy water cascading over her. A wave of nausea suddenly surged through her, and she felt herself being leaned forward just as her stomach heaved. The retching brought a touch more clarity, but she was still dazed, her vision blurred. Kakashi's face hovered above her, his voice muffled, as if coming from a faraway place. "Easy, sweetheart," he murmured, though his words seemed to float in the distance. She tried to focus but couldn't hold her head up any longer.
She felt Kakashi's hands on her, his touch gentle as he removed her soaked clothes. She heard his voice again, but the words blurred together. She tried to help, lifting her legs feebly as he slid pants onto her. Her limbs felt like lead, refusing to obey. Then she felt herself being lifted, and soon a softness enveloped her—his bed. She barely noticed as he bandaged her wounds until he touched her burned hands, and a flicker of pain made her gasp. Forcing her eyes to focus on him as he worked, she tried to speak, but her words felt sticky, trapped in her throat.
"Kakashi...?" Her voice was barely more than a whisper. Her body felt strangely heavy yet light, a euphoria settling over her like a warm blanket. A smile broke across her face, and she reached out clumsily for him. Kakashi caught her bandaged hand, his grip firm but gentle. "What happened to you?" he asked, his voice a mix of concern and tightly controlled anger. She tried to remember, but all she could focus on was the warm, floating sensation that filled her. She giggled softly, the softness spreading through her limbs.
Kakashi watched her, his jaw tightening. Her smiles and giggles told him she was more out of it than he'd feared. He needed answers, but it was clear that wouldn't come easily. "Sakura, focus, please," he urged. "You've been drugged. What did they do to you?"
Sakura's eyes fluttered as she fought to pull herself from the fog. Her words slurred as they tumbled out. "They took me... asked who I was working for... I told them I only took orders from 'Kashi." She broke into another fit of giggles, amused by her own words, struggling to recall the events that had led her here.
Kakashi's brow furrowed, his patience wearing thin, his chest tightening with guilt. This was all his fault. "I'm getting you some water," he muttered, rising from the bed. Sakura whimpered at the loss of his touch, feeling an inexplicable ache for his closeness. She closed her eyes, the sensation like stars dancing behind her eyelids. It felt like she was breathing for the first time, every sense alive and tingling. It was better than anything she had ever felt—better than sunlight warming her skin after a long winter.
Kakashi returned with a glass of water, gently lifting her into a sitting position. He guided the glass to her lips, and she drank in big, desperate gulps. Her mind felt like it was melting, every nerve in her body tingling with pleasure.
"Sakura, stop grinding your teeth," he instructed, noticing the tension in her jaw. She hadn't realized she was clenching so hard until she tried to relax, her muscles aching as she stretched her mouth open. She curled up tighter under the blanket, shivering slightly, the softness of the fabric almost overwhelming.
Kakashi studied her closely, noting how her pupils were blown wide, swallowing the green of her irises. His anger simmered beneath the surface as he forced himself to stay calm. "Drink," he ordered, pressing the glass to her lips again. She finished it, her head clearing just a fraction. Her jaw still hurt, her teeth grinding without her even noticing.
Kakashi's gaze was intense, laced with guilt she didn't quite understand. "I feel so good, Kakashi," she giggled, almost delirious. Kakashi took a deep breath, resigned to the reality of the situation. "That's because you've got the 'Pain Special'—ecstasy mixed with fentanyl. You're going to be high for a while."
