_____________

4th day of the sixth moon of the year 123 AC

To Lady Elaenora Arryn,

After sending you over a dozen letters without a single reply I have concluded that you must resent me. For what? I do not know. But I feel obligated to tell you that, even then, I still hold the hope that one day I will get to feel you near me again even if it is through the words written on a piece of parchment.

You might wonder why I am writing to you now after all these past moons, perhaps I wonder the same, but I considered it relevant to inform you that next moon, on the 20th day, the wedding between Helaena and Aegon will take place at the Grand Sept before the eyes of the Seven and our closest family and allies. Of course, my mother and Helaena herself insist you come. Perhaps, with your presence in King's Landing, we'd be able to share a conversation and clarify the lack of communication between us two these past years and I will be able to escape Aegon for a while. You cannot fathom how annoying he has been for the past weeks. It seems that he is trying to avoid Helaena as much as possible the closest the wedding gets, so he chooses to spend time with me instead and punish my already miserable existence with his insufferable presence.

Please, do come to the wedding. Helaena needs you by her side on such a day.

Kind regards,

Prince Aemond Targaryen.

"What are you doing in here?" Aegon interrupted in his younger brother's chambers unannounced with a nonchalant stride. "Wanking off to the memory of your beloved?"

Aemond rolled his good eye, letting out a heavy sigh. "How can I help you, brother?"

"Oh, no, I do not require anything from you," Aegon quickly dismissed him with a wave of his hand. "In fact, today I will be the one to offer you some help."

"How so?" the younger boy immediately frowned with suspicion.

"You are the epitome of somberness and gloom, brother. I genuinely think t'is about time you indulge in the pleasures of life and deal with your stress in the same way I do. A great opportunity for us two to bond like real men before my upcoming tragedy."
