A/N: There will be a mention of detailed sexual assault in this chapter. You can skip over that part if you'd like.
- Song to listen to while reading: Set Me Free by Joshua Bassett

"Rickyyyyyyyy, where's my Italian sausage and boob cream?" Lucinda yells at me over the old intercom system that's in the attic.
Who even has an intercom system anymore? This is the 21st century
"I'm coming, hold on. I'm doing homework," I put my pencil down even though I'm not doing homework. I'm writing a song called 'Set Me Free'.
I tried to do my math homework yesterday but couldn't focus on Lucy and Lulu's bickering and my dyslexia. I was also responsible for cleaning my step-sister's bathroom, doing their laundry, cleaning up my dad's vodka glasses, and putting ice on the bruise I got from being shoved into a urinal the other day. I also got hit by my dad by accident when I was trying to clean around him while he was sleeping on the couch.
I also used my sister's nail polish remover and re-painted the black Sharpie-colored nail pink.
It's my mom's favorite color and stands for her breast cancer.
I make a mental note to ice my eyes and knees before I go to school. I can't afford to go to the doctor anytime soon.
At least I think it was an accident when he hit me in the eye with the bottle that was in his hand. He'd never intentionally hurt me, right? I mean he married my step-mom but has never physically hurt me before.
I'm surprised I haven't been sexually assaulted yet in the East High bathrooms, actually, I spoke too soon. Our school has the worst security system despite it being the place where the High School Musical movies were shot for family audiences.
Our school also starts in 45 minutes so I need to make her Italian breakfast, pack my step-sister's lunch, shower after my sisters do their makeup in the downstairs bathroom because I smell, pack my bag, and skate to school.
I hope Big Red has a muffin because I don't have time to eat this morning.
"Ella, the shower is clogged again. Where's my nail polish? Did you take it you scum?!" Lula yells at me from the bathroom on the lower level, which I share with them.
"I'll unclog it and shower in our parent's bathroom. Your nail polish is under your sink where you always keep it. I clean your bathroom once a week," I sigh while looking through the fridge for the Italian sausage.
Why is my nickname Ella now? Richie is closer to my name than Ella.
I swear I just bought it this past weekend with my savings.
"Icky, can you go to the store this weekend and get me tampons and my birth birth control pills?" Lucy asks me while picking her nose as I grab my step-moms boob cream from the medicine drawer and run to hand her while she tans outside.
I don't even think it's even slightly hot enough outside for anyone to tan but okay, you do you.
"I can't I have to study for my first Pre-Calc test this weekend with Nini. She tutors me in a few subjects. Can't you do it? You have a driver's license and a car," I point out while quickly putting the sausage in the pan and putting bagels in the toaster for the girls.
"I have a date with Christopher Sanderson. Can you do it for me please????" Lucy begs me while putting on mascara and getting it all over the white tile floor that I just cleaned two days ago.
