A/N: first chapter of this fic that exceeds like 4k words. Finally made a planner for each chapter so i can make them longer and not make up plot ON the spot as I write.

When you made it to the bunker, everything was covered in darkness, with a small amount of light coming from the planet's two moons. You could barely see Robert, and he could barely see you.
You and Robert had searched for a weakness in the door, even a hole, for a while, before you looked up and saw a massive opening in the large metal door.
"Robert! Look at this," you pointed your finger towards the opening. It looked like something broke in forcefully, but at a height. Maybe it was that weird winged robotic creature you had fought on the first few days?
If it was still in here, that would be bad. But you were getting desperate for some shelter, so weird killer inside or not, it would have to do.
"Okay, nice, but how are we gonna get up there?" Robert asked, squinting his eyes to try to see it better.
"Uhhh... try lifting me up and I'll pull you up after," you suggested. Robert nodded, and crouched down under the opening. You moved in front of him, and he grabbed the side of your legs and attempted to push you up.
Robert struggled a little, but managed to lift you up enough so that you could grab the edge of the opening. You swung your other arm to the opening, and then Robert let go of your legs. He then puts his hands under your feet and lifts you up further, until you pull yourself up and over.
You land in the ground on the other side of the door.
"Okay, nice. Can you pull me up now?" Robert asked, voice slightly muffled by the door.
"Problem. I'm on the ground now," you looked around in the darkness.
"That's just fantastic," Robert said sarcastically. "Try to find a button, maybe it'll open the door? Or a large crate."
Your eyes took a while to adjust to the pitch black of the bunker thing, but after a few minutes, you could make out the general shapes of things.
"Alright, I see a small button on the side of the wall. I'm going to pull it. Stand back, just in case this thing falls on you," you said as you walked over to the said button.
You pressed it, but nothing happened.
"Press it yet?" Robert asked.
"Yes, but it doesn't seem to work," you replied.
"Try turning it off and on."
"Hardy har har. Very funny."
"No, seriously."
"You expect me to find a power button somewhere?"
"Yes."
"..."
You looked around the button, and to your surprise, you found something that resembled a power button. There was a slight electrical glow to it, signifying its status: on.
You pressed it, and the light blinked off. After pressing it again, it lit up again. Nothing to signify that anything changed. Well, time to try the button now.
You pressed the button, and to your surprise, the door mechanisms began to rumble, and the door pulled up into the ceiling.
"Told you." Robert smirked, walking in.
"Yeah, okay. Let's just go find some food," you said, pressing the button to close the door once again.
The bunker, outpost, whatever you call this thing, was plunged into darkness once again.
