"Thank you for defending me," you said quietly as the driver drove you home, trying to express your gratitude for his actions earlier.
"I would do it for any of my employees," he snapped, making it clear that your situation was not unique and that he'd have done the same for anyone working for him.
"Yeah," you muttered, the rest of the drive passing in silence.
When Gojo dropped you off at your home, he stepped out of the car as well.
"How about you get me some water?" he asked, catching you off guard. Despite your surprise, you fetched a glass for him right by the door, as he declined to come inside.
"Well, do you remember yesterday..." he started, and a pang of dread rose in your chest as you recalled the previous night's embarrassment.
"What?" you asked, trying to maintain a calm façade.
"You treated me rudely," he finished, a smug smile playing on his lips as he looked at you. You were at a loss for how to respond.
"I don't recolle—" you began, attempting to lie, but he interrupted you.
"You poked your finger," he said, taking your hand and pinching your forefinger—the same finger you'd used to poke him on his chest. Your heartbeat quickened as he traced the spot.
"And poked me on my chest," he continued, gently pressing your finger against his chest. Now that you were sober, the physical contact felt more intense and meaningful.
"And you called me "Satoru Gojo, you fucking dickhead"," he finished, his gaze locked with yours, making you swallow hard.
"I—I don't know what you—" you stammered, but he cut you off again.
"I'll forgive you if you admit you did it," he said, his eyes flashing with a challenging expression.
"Y—" you started to stutter, but he cut you off again.
"Say it," he encouraged, his tone firm but not unkind.
"I'm sorry," you finally admitted, and he released your hand.
"See, it's much better now," he said, handing you the glass of water. You sighed in relief.
"Thanks," you said as he turned to leave.
"And by the way, [your name]!" he called, stopping and turning around.
"I liked that," he added with a teasing glint in his eye, leaving you utterly bewildered.

The next morning, you returned to work and settled at your desk, organizing Gojo's schedule. Fortunately, it wasn't a busy day. Gojo had a meeting scheduled for 3 PM, so you had a few hours of relative peace.
As you were working, Gojo emerged from his office.
"I have to leave for a personal matter. I'll be back in an hour," he said, and left before you could respond. You resumed your tasks, focusing on rescheduling.
An hour later, as you were busy with the adjustments, Suguru Geto approached your desk unexpectedly.
"Hello, Mr. Geto! What brings you here?" you asked, rising to greet him, surprised by his visit.
"Hello, [your name]! How are you?" he asked, his charming smile making your heart flutter.
"If you wanted to see Mr. Gojo, you could've emailed me. I would have arranged a meeting," you said, feeling slightly unprepared for his visit.
"It's alright, Ms. [your name]!" he assured you with a reassuring smile.
"Sorry, Mr. Geto, but Mr. Gojo just left for some work. He should be back soon," you explained, assuming he was there to see Gojo.
"No, Ms. [your name], I'm here to see you," he said, catching you off guard. His words made you feel shy, and a flutter of excitement stirred in your chest.
"I'm sorry for what happened that day, Mr. Geto," you apologized, still feeling a bit guilty.
"It's alright, Ms. [your name]! That's to be expected with him," he laughed, and you awkwardly chuckled, trying not to react too strongly to a joke about your boss.
"No, Mr. Geto, Mr. Gojo is a nice person. I'm sure something was just off with him that day," you said, recalling how he'd defended you the previous night.
"Alright, but I'm not here to discuss him," he interrupted.
"Then what?" you asked, curious.
"Well, would you go out on a date—" Suguru started, but he was interrupted when Gojo reappeared suddenly.
"[Your name]! Arrange a dinner date for me at Love and Dines," Gojo declared, directing his gaze at Geto but clearly ignoring him.
"Sure, with whom?" you asked, ready to finalize the details.
"With you," Gojo replied, leaving you stunned and unsure of how to process his unexpected request.
