After your appointment with the doctor, you and Nobara were heading out of the hospital when you unexpectedly spotted Suguru.

"Oh, hello, Ms. [Your Name]!" Suguru greeted, his voice carrying a note of surprise as he approached you.

"Hello, Mr. Geto," you responded quietly, feeling emotionally drained and not in the mood for conversation.

"I didn't expect to see you here at the hospital," Suguru remarked, his gaze reflecting curiosity. It was clear he had noticed your visit to the maternity ward.

"Just a routine blood test," you lied, trying to deflect any further questions. You were uncomfortable with the idea of explaining the real reason for your visit.

"I need to go now," you said, your voice tinged with urgency. Suguru nodded understandingly, and you and Nobara left the hospital.

--

The next morning, you arrived at work with a flicker of hope that Satoru might be there. However, as you took your seat at your desk, it became apparent that he was still absent.

A man approached you, holding a file. "Are you Ms. [Your Name]?" he asked.

"Yes," you confirmed.

"This is from Mr. Satoru. He sent it over for your immediate attention," the man said, handing you the file, which contained important documents that needed Satoru's review and signature.

"Thank you. Do you know when he will be back?" you asked, trying to mask your growing concern.

"I'm afraid I don't know. I'm just here to deliver these papers," he replied before turning to leave.

Your heart sank as you watched him go. The frustration of not being able to reach Satoru combined with the anxiety of your situation began to weigh heavily on you. Why was he unreachable? What could be so urgent that he couldn't even respond to your calls or messages?

The pregnancy was affecting you more than you had anticipated. You felt sick, both physically and emotionally. The realization that this baby inside you was a result of your love with Satoru made the situation all the more complicated. You found yourself growing attached to the baby, which made it harder to think clearly about the decisions ahead. You would sometimes place a hand on your stomach, feeling a confusing blend of love and worry.

--

Two weeks had passed with no word from Satoru. The stress and emotional strain from the pregnancy were becoming overwhelming. During a meeting with Suguru, you suddenly felt faint and collapsed. When you regained consciousness, you were back in the hospital, lying on a bed with Suguru in front of you, looking worried.

"Ms. [Your Name]? Are you okay?" the doctor asked, her voice gentle yet concerned. Suguru's worried eyes followed the doctor's every move.

"Yes, I'm fine," you replied weakly, trying to steady yourself.

"Aren't you taking proper care of your baby, Mr. Geto?" the doctor asked, her question causing both you and Suguru to pause. Suguru's face turned pale as the realization dawned on him.

"My baby?" Suguru repeated, confusion and shock evident in his voice.

"Yes, the baby and its mother, Mr. Geto," the doctor clarified. The weight of her words hit you hard, and you felt a surge of panic and guilt as Suguru now knew about the pregnancy.

After a moment of silence, Suguru said, "I'll take better care of them both from now on."

"Thank you," the doctor said, moving on to attend to other patients. Her parting words left you and Suguru in a state of stunned silence.

Suguru turned to you, his expression softening with concern. "So, it's Satoru's child?" he asked gently.

"Please, Mr. Geto, don't tell anyone about this," you begged, tears streaming down your face. Suguru took your hands in his, offering comfort and reassurance.

"Don't worry, Ms. [Your Name]. I won't say a word," he assured you, his tone sincere and calming. The relief was palpable, even if only momentary.

"Haven't you told Satoru yet?" Suguru inquired, his concern deepening.

"I can't reach him. It's like he's disappeared," you said, the frustration and sadness evident in your voice.

"He'll be back. But please, take care of yourself," Suguru urged, his genuine concern shining through. You nodded, feeling a small sense of comfort from his support.

Suguru offered to drive you home, and you accepted gratefully. As you reached your doorstep, you turned to him.

"Thank you for the ride," you said, your voice filled with gratitude.

"It's no trouble at all. If you need anything, please don't hesitate to call me," Suguru said, his tone serious yet supportive. You nodded, appreciating his offer as he drove away, leaving you with a mix of relief and apprehension as you entered your home.
