16) Rest in peace, Sister...

Back in Germany, KoP and the German twins had found out Duchy was pregnant. There was the day she would give birth at but things didn't go according to plan. Duchy died, together with the baby. The word quickly spread in the palace. KoP was shocked to hear that...He immediately informed her sons and sent epistles to all Germanic royal families, including their other 2 siblings HM and AE but also her kids that were left back in the palace to be taken care of by the maids but also WIC who had turned back for a while. 

GE and Reichtangle quickly rushed to their mother's chambers just to hold her hand and cry over her body...They were in denial...They couldn't believe she had died like that...

- "We will miss you, Mutter..." GE muttered as he held her hand with tears in his eyes.
- "Mister GE and Reichtangle, I am sorry for your loss but you have to let her go, we have to prepare her for the funeral..." explained a maid.
- "Bruder she is in a better place..." Reichtangle sighed, having his hand on his brother's shoulder.

GE sighed before standing up and leaving the room with his brother. The maids immediately starting preparing her for the funeral. KoP was making the rest of the preparations for the funeral. The atmosphere in the castle was really quite and weird. Tomorrow morning they would say their official goodbyes to Duchy or Princess of Bavaria as her title was.

The next morning, the castle was quiet, the royal families across Europe had arrived at the church and Duchy's coffin was placed in front of the altar. The cardinal stood in front of the coffin as he started speaking the church fell silent.

Kingdom of Prussia just looked at the coffin, his face unreadable as he kept a cold demeanor.

German Empire was looking at the coffin for a while before, taking off his hat and lowering his head, his eyes shut.

Reichtangle had just been standing with his head lowered, silently looking down.

WIC couldn't bring himself to look at his mother's coffin which was covered by the Prussian flag. He was also in denial, like his younger brother.

Duchy of the Netherlands was holding her tears, wiping them away from time to time with a napkin, her eyes shut.

Luxembourg and Belgium where just silently looking at the coffin, just standing there silently, not actually knowing that their mother had died.

Austrian Empire her younger brother just sighed softly, his once cheerful older sister he admired was now in a coffin, gone forever.

After the funeral after everyone had left, Duchy's family members excluding Belgium and Luxembourg, stayed back, gathered around her coffin.

- "Rust zacht, Moeder..." mumbled WIC and lowered his head.
- "I will miss you, Moeder..." mumbled DoN as she placed a bouquet of orange tulips on her mother's coffin before hugging her older brother, WIC, holding her tears back.
- "We will miss you, Mutter..." whispered GE and Reichtangle at the same time.
- "You will never be forgotten, Schwester.." whispered AE as he took off his hat, lowering his hat.
- "Ruhe in Frieden, Schwester..." said KoP as he exhaled.
