It seemed as though an eternity had passed before my eyes opened up. I was being held inside a tree, bound only by chains made of purple and black darkness. Mars had captured me. His dark cosmo encapsulated my body, practically destroying me from the inside. My heart felt as though the shadows forming around me were starting to crush it, piece by piece.

I started weeping as I thought of Koga. My brave, kind knight. I hoped he would come to rescue me soon, or else I didn't know what Mars would do to me. Already, I felt sluggish and drained of my golden cosmo. Please, Koga. Come find me. I need you...

I did not have to wait long when I saw Koga at the bottom of the hill below the tree I was held in. He rushed up to me, slipping and falling onto his knees at first, but he regained his footing just as fast. No sooner than when I looked down again, Koga was there, reaching his hand out as if to caress my face. My eyes were feeling heavy, and I slowly reached my hand out to touch him. All too soon, I felt a huge rod slam through my chest. I looked down, shocked, as Koga yelled my name in surprise. "No!" He gasped as my eyes started closing, and I slumped over, seemingly dead to the world. "Nooooo!" Koga shrieked as a dark red and black cosmo exploded around him, spilling out over the grounds. Through weakened eyes, I watched my knight yell and cry out in pain as the darkness crawled over his body. "Koga...I'm here..." I whispered, knowing that he wouldn't hear me, but I mainly said it as a source of comfort for the way he was feeling right now. He turned to me as if acknowledging my presence, but then Koga let out a scream and clutched his head in pain. I widened my eyes in shock as Koga stood up slowly, brown eyes now a dark red. He walked over to me, expression of sadness and guilt having turned to a unnerving smile. "Koga?" I whispered weakly as my protector kept walking, his creepy smile growing bigger. I shut my eyes as he whispered my name, caressing my chin softly. All I knew was that this person in front of me was no longer Koga. He was now Abzu, the feared God of Darkness. I knew that I was no longer in safe hands, and despite my best interests, I presumed it was best to wait here until the other saints found us and helped Koga out. My knight had opened himself up to the darkness, and there was no coming back from that......was there?
