I stare off into the distance and slowly realize that I've been doing that a lot lately, which is normal I guess but not because I don't do this usually.
I've been thinking about Calvin and Lain. His girlfriend also happens to be at Alan's party too.
Thank god don't have to associate with her. She's giving me a couple of dirty looks here and there but that's fine, I know I look good without trying and she looks like she dived into the make-up pool.
She's wearing a white dress that barely covers her ass cheeks which doesn't bother me, the guys seem to love it. I actually think I saw a guy snap a picture of her sideways but I didn't try to investigate, maybe she likes that too.
Lain has disappeared since the moment I walked in with Milo and my brother, I only saw him for like a second and then he was gone.
I don't know what he's doing but I guess it's none of my business. In the meantime, I try to only mind my own and like my uncle said have fun.
"Ayo, you trying to dance?" Carden gives me a weird look, rubbing his jaw and squinting his eyes like a fuck boy, which makes me snort.
"What the heck?" I slap his shoulder and he finally comes out of that trance.
"Sorry, you looked like you needed a laugh." He throws an arm over my shoulders and leans his head against mine.
"Thanks," I smile and take comfort in his embrace while I can. Carden is not too affectionate but he can be on some occasions, which I find very cute of him. "Are you having fun?" I ask when he finally pulls off and gives me attention.
"Mmh, I guess." He shrugs, scrunching his nose. Which means he isn't, the party Is kind of boring I can't lie.
It's a normal party it's just dry for some reason.
"You know where I'd rather be," he says and I nod, knowing him too well.
"Me too,"
"Should we?" He asks, giving me a side glance which makes me laugh.
"Should we?" I repeat him and he starts to giggle too which I find really funny.
"Let's go," he says, grabbing my hand and pulling me after him, trying to be as sneaky as possible.
I can't see Milo which means he's probably trying to charm up a girl, nice for him. Poor guy hasn't had a girlfriend in two years because his last one traumatized him.
I didn't know her because I was away for a while but he said that she was toxic as heck, and that was the relationship that made him realize he isn't into toxic women. Good for him for not making excuses to stay in a relationship like that. That's why he's my uncle.
