Maleek,while sitting on his favorite couch was enjoying a beautiful Korean drama named (Vincenzo).
He loved it because of it's plot twists and a lot of action, he was sitted with a bowl full of chips and dip,his best friend Namir was there too watching the drama together with him.
"Bruhh this drama is on fire, I've never seen a drama as good this." Namir pointed out while filling his mouth with chips.
"Isn't it?...I told you it will be good..." Maleek inclined.
"Yeah bruh it surely is." Namir agreed.
In the middle of watching their drama,Maleek's phone rang. He smiled,seeing his sister Maryam's name appearing on the screen.
(Picks up the call)
"Hey sis, what's up." Maleek asked while settling on his couch.
"Ya Maleek! ....I made it!... I've graduated and passed my exams." Maryam exclaimed,her voice trembling with excitement and tears of joy.
Maleek's face lit up. "That's amazing my mairo! MashaAllah,I'm absolutely happy hearing this great news! I'm so proud of you my mairo, when's the graduation ceremony?"
"It's in two weeks time ya Maleek and i really want you to come." Maryam asked desperately.
Maleek didn't hesitate "of course! I'll be there. I wouldn't miss it for the world.
The two chatted for a long time,catching up on each other's lives. Maleek learned about Maryam's plan to work in a hospital in cairo and her dreams of making it a difference.
A week after,Maleek decided to go shopping together with Namir to buy gifts for his mairo. He bought her amazing gifts and expensive gifts together with iPhone 15 pro max,which Maleek knew how she's been dying to have one,but Maleek refused to give her because of how tedious and stressful her course is. He bought several items like abaya's,shoes,watches,expensive perfumes like Chanel Chance,Dior J'adore,prada candy and lot's more.
Another week passed,Maleek and Namir arrived in Egypt,eager to celebrate Maryam's achievement. He spent three days in cairo exploring the city and visiting ancient sites,one of them was,he visited the grave of pharaoh.
He then decided to give his sisters a suprise visit in their apartment where they stay.
(Door opens)....
"Marhaban bika ya Maleek!(welcome ya Maleek)"
Maryam stood up from her seat and rejoiced upon seeing her brother and ran to give him a hug.
"Mabrouk ala najahak akhti!(congratulations on your success sis)" Maleek said while receiving Maryam's hug.
Fauziyya came out of the kitchen and saw Maleek,she of course ran to Maleek and gave him a thight hug.
"That's enough fauziyya,before my intestines come out." Maleek said while laughing joyously.
"Where's Amatullah?" Maleek asked while laughing.
Maryam and fauziyya's face's changed upon hearing maleek's question. Maleek,seeing their face's changed,started looking at them with a disoriented look.
"What happened?why did you look at each other like that?is something wrong?" Maleek asked them.
Maryam said stammering.
"Well....Ama...Amatullah....is..."
"Where is she!!!!" Maleek shouted.
Maleek was about to hear something that will stumble and make his blood boil....
"She...she went to Zamalek Sc." Maryam stammered.
"Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un,Allahumma ajirni fi musibati!
She...she went to zamalek! Zamalek that i know?"
Maleek said furiously.
(Door opens)...
(Door closes)...
Maleek went out of the apartment in rage and disappointment,almost making a tear drop from his eyes. Turns out Amatullah went to a club!.
Maleek hopped on his Mercedes Benz 300 SLR,worth 142 million dollars and went straight to the club at approximately 180 miles per hour.
He entered the club furiously,looking for Amatullah,he kept on looking for her,till he finally sees a glance of her. He went straight to Amatullah and saw her,seeing what she wore made him more enraged. She wore a half top and a shredded skirt that didn't even reach her knee. Subhanallah. She was very drunk and was dancing scornfully with a man.
Maleek dragged her through the arm..
"Hey...you what's your problem...you wanna dance handsome man." Amatullah said in a drunken state.
(Smack!!!!) Maleek gave her a tight slap.
"Hey dude...what the f**k are you doing are...are you mad we don't want shi...shit in here man!." The one dancing with Amatullah said while drunk too.
Maleek almost slapped him too buh ignored him and dragged Amatullah out of the club. He forcefully pushed her inside his car and they went to their apartment.
(Door knocked)
"Who is it?" Maryam asked.
"Open up it's Maleek."
(Door opens)
(Door closes)...
Maleek's enters the apartment with Amatullah around his shoulder in a drunken state. He sitted her down on a couch.
"Fauziyya bring me a glass of water please." Maleek said.
"Ok ya Maleek."
"How could you?...how could you let Amatullah do this?...why didn't you inform me while this was happening...?what were you thinking?" Maleek said shouting at Maryam.
"Akhi, laysa al-sabab bi-yadi,
wa'aduk anna jarrartu kulli al-jihad li-tardaha,
lakinnaha lam tatawaqquf. Aradt an ukhbiruka ka'annaka wasalt.
(Brother, it's not my fault, I promise you that I tried my best to stop her, but she didn't stop. I wanted to tell you as soon as you arrived, but you've already found out). Maryam pointed out with tears in her eyes.
Fauziyya brought Maleek a glass of water,she thought he was going to drink it buh instead....
(Splash!!!!)
Maleek poured the water on Amatullah's face.
Amatullah quickly stood up from the couch recovering from her drunken state.
"Ya...ya Maleek you're here." Amatullah said taking deep deep breath's.
"How could you...how?...is this what you'll repay our dad with?....is this what islam taught you...you're twenty for goodness sake,you're not a child." Maleek's anger surged as he felt betrayal.
"How could you do this....you're better than this!"
Amatullah broke down,tears streaming down her face "ya Maleek I'm so sorry.... I was tricked by a guy who was like a best friend to me... he...he tricked me and made me do this...I'm so sorry ya Maleek,he said i should escort him to the national library he forgot the place,and i decided to go with him and show him the place...he gave me a drink...and...and...."
Maleek's anger slowly gave way to sadness.
He realized that his sister was hurt. They talked throughout the night and maleek somehow began to understand even though what she did was absolutely way out of line and their father has to be informed.
The graduation ceremony arrived, and Maleek,beamed with pride as Maryam accepted her degree. He knew that his sisters were human,flawed but loved. And he was grateful for the journey that brought them closer to him.
Maleek informed his dad about what happened the other day,his dad was very furious and angry and informed them that they come back to nigeria instantly!!!
