Falling for the enemy

*chapter 5*

(Car horn)
"Leila! common  let's go were getting late." Noor shouted.
"I'm coming bestie!" Leila shouted while glimpsing through the window.
Leila took a quick look at her self in elegance,satisfied with what she wore.
She wore her outfit with class,pairing a rich plum-colored maxi dress. Her purple jersey veil was perfectly draped which complemented her bright smile. The subtle sparkle of her silver earrings added a touch of glamour,while her neutral-colored ankle boots grounded the overall look. As she walked,the flowing fabric of her dress caught the light,showcasing the beautiful shade of purple that seemed to radiate confidence and poise.

"You're glowing girl!....what has gotten into you....'i mean I've seen you in hijab buh this outfit is a game changer.... Ohhhhhh wowwww." Noor exclaimed in surprise upon seeing how stunning leila looked.

"You're going to steal the show tonight!,just don't leave me hanging when cute guys start flocking you gurl..."she playfully nudged Leila.

"Whatever,Bestie you're just mad I'm rocking this purple better than you could!" Leila laughed and playfully rolled her eyes.

Noor chuckled and shot back "oh please! I'm just getting started! My outfit may not be as flashy as yours,but I've got the move's to make up for it!" She winked.
"Alright alright... i just hope you're not up to something." Leila said giving her a mischievous look.
They kept on chatting while they were driving.
"Ohh and where did you say the event center was located? You know we don't talk much with Ramlat." Leila asked.
"It's Blue velvet luxury marquee even center located at cardinal park,kitiwe street,wuse zone 4." Noor answered.
"Omg! I heard it's very expensive fah,are you serious." Leila said in amusement.
"It's the address she sent me." Noor clarified.

"Welcome welcome my beautiful children!" Maleek's dad rejoiced as he saw his children entering the mansion grounds.

They all smiled and gave their father a hug. Maleek's dad didn't make a fuss when he saw Amatullah because maleek told him that he scolded her and she's regretted what she's done.
"Alright you guys should go and freshen up and then come downstairs to eat,ok?" Maleek's dad said cheerfully.
"Ok dad." Maryam said while smiling
The four children went ahead to take a refreshing shower. After they were done with that, they came downstairs to eat.
"Dad,where's mom?" Maleek asked
"Ohhh she went out to buy Ramlat her birthday gift,today she's holding a party." He answered.
"Ramlats birthday is today and she didn't even bother to call her favorite cousin!" Maleek said with a bit of disappointment.
"Maybe she didn't know you came to nigeria that's why." Maleeks dad added. 
"Why don't you give her a suprise by going to her birthday party."
"Yes...yes that's what I'll do." Maleek said while raising his index finger.
"You have to go and get ready,i know the party has just started." His dad pointed out.
"Ok dad." Maleek answered.

(Phone dialing)...
"Hey bro,what's up." Maleek said
"Yooo...rich bro....how've you been." Isma'eel answered
"All's great bro,um...are you at the party?" Maleek asked.
"Huhhhh!don't tell me you're back!" Isma'eel asked joyously.
"Yeah I'm back bro." Maleek said giving a chuckle.
"Ohhhh dude!I'm so happy!Isma'eel shouted through the phone.
"Yeah...yeah alright, I'll see you at the party. We've got some catching up to do." Maleek said
"Ok bro." Isma'eel answered.
(Phone call ends)...

Isma'eel,is a first cousin to Maleek and also Maleek's favorite. They were very good buddies before Maleek went off to California for studies. His dad is a very good businessmen and they also work together on some share's issues with maleek's dad.

Maleek decided to give Ramlat a suprise so he went to the mall to buy her gifts. He bought Ramlat bags and shoes because she loves them. Some of the shoes were T.M lewin luxury shoes, Jeffery's leather shoes and more.

"Ya maleeek!!!!" Ramlat shouted while seeing maleek's entrance to the venue.
"Heyyy sis, so you can throw a party without me knowing." Maleek said while receiving a tight hug from Ramlat.
"You know I'll never forget my brother,i just thought you'd not be back." Ramlat said giving a pampered look.

Ramlat grabbed Maleek and started to introduce him to her friends. She kept on dragging Maleek showing him her beautiful and rich friends, she showed him almost half of her friends then she took a glance of leila gisting with Noor. She decided to take Maleek to Leila so that they could meet.

"Common' I have to show you someone." Ramlat said cunningly.
"Ok, let's go." Maleek answered.

They walked to meet Leila and Noor. As they drew near them,he saw her from the side and was struk by the resemblance to someone familiar.

"Hey,Maleek!"Isma'eel shouted out when he saw Ramlat and Maleek together.

"Isma'eel, sai yanzu zaka zo,harna riga ka zuwa fah."
Maleek said looking back.
"Wallahi,traffic made me late." Isma'eel said while adjusting his tie.
"What are looking for?"
"Ohhh....nothing!" Maleek said
"Are you sure..." Isma'eel teased.
"Dalla can ba abunda nake kalla."
"Alright then as you say." Isma'eel shrugged.
"You look amazing by the way...and nice shades." Maleek said smiling.
"So bazaka yiwa birthday girl magana ba." Ramlat said while glaring at Isma'eel.
"Ohh my sincere apologies sis." Isma'eel said giving her a smile.
"Alright then,I'll leave you guys alone for now." Ramlat said waving at them.

The two went to a corner and sat down there. They then started chitchatting.
"I'm telling you, the market is ripe for expansion, we need to invest now."  Isma'eel announced
"I agree,but we need to be cautious,we can't afford to take unnecessary risks." Maleek said

As they talk,maleek's eyes wander around the place and he sees the familiar figure again but her face is turned around.

"Wait a minute...(pauses) I could swear thats the same girl who Ramlat wanted to introduce me to." Maleek said tilting his head to one side.
"Who are you talking about?" Isma'eel asked
"The girl in the purple outfit mana,she's over there near that snack bar...I couldn't see her face,and i still can't see it now.." Maleek said still wandering his head around to get a look at her.

Maleek stood up to approach her....but in the process his phone started ringing.
"Ah..excuse me,i need to take this."
"Go ahead,I'll go get us some drinks."

Maleek answer's the call and gets drawn into a conversation unable to approach Leila. As Maleek talks on the phone,he keeps glancing over at Leila trying to get a better look,but she suddenly disappears in the crowd before he could finish the call.
"Have you seen her?" Isma'eel came back with two cups of Coca Cola in his hand.
"No....i didn't." Maleek said still trying to find her.
"Let's just go,you'll find someone more beautiful than her mana." Isma'eel said.
"Still...I can't shake the feeling that I know her somewhere." Maleek said still looking around.
"Just forget dude,it's getting late, we should go." Isma'eel said pulling him towards the gate.
"Alright alright let's go." Maleek finally approved.

So Ramlat invited Leila to her party to show Maleek but she was unable to
Does maleek actually recognizes that face he's been seeing?
Will he meet Leila?
Will he go back to California after he recognizes Leila?
