Snow day

The turtles have fun with Leonardo's new power when a heat wave comes to New York.

"Uhhhhh, it's so hoooot." 8 year old Mikey complained as he flopped on the chair.

A heatwave had struck Manhattan, and the turtles have been struggling a lot.

"We need something to cool us off." Donnie said.

Leo walked in with a cup of apple juice. He popped a stick in the cup and used his powers to freeze the juice into an ice pop. Suddenly, Mikey had an idea.

"Hey, Leo. Do you think you can use your new power to cool us down?" Mikey asked.

"I don't know, Mikey. I'm still learning how to control them." Leo said.

"Come on, Leo. How are you gonna learn  if you don't try." Raph said as he walked into the room.

"Well. You do have a point." Leo said.

"So? What do you say?" Donnie said.

Leo looked at his brother, and then he looked at his hands. He moved them in a circle, and snowflakes started to form. A magic snowball formed, and Leo looked at his brothers in excitement, his eyes glowing.

"Are you ready?" He asked.

His brother surrounded him and nodded. Leo threw the snowball in the air, and it turned into a million snowflakes.

"You know what this means?" Raph asked.

"SNOW DAY!" They cheered before playing in the snow.

For the whole day, they played in the snow, from building snowmen and making snow angels to having snowball fights and making snow castles. Soon, it was starting to get colder.

"I love this. But it's starting to get cold. Can you stop the snow?" Donnie asked.

"I don't know how." Leo said.

"What do you mean you don't know how?" Raph said.

"I mean, I don't know how to stop the snow. I've never done it before." Leo said.

For the next half an hour, they were in the cold with no way to stop it. Raph tried melting it, but it didn't work.

"Leo, you have to stop this! It's too cold!" He said, turning to him.

Leo sat with his knees tucked into his chest.

"I told you I don't know how!" He said. The area around him started to frost over.

Donnie yawned and Raph quickly went over to him to warm him up. Since he had fire powers, he's always warm.

"Leo, we're getting too cold. If we call asleep, we'll go into early hibernation." Donnie said.

Leo looked over and snowflakes started to circle around him.

"Leo are you OK?" Mikey asked.

"I don't know how to stop this. I can't do it. It's all my fault." He put his head in his knees.

His brothers looked at each other and walked to him.

"Leo, this isn't your fault. We all have trouble with our powers sometimes." Raph said.

"Yea, you just got them and it'll take some time for you to get use to them." Donnie chirpped up.

"It's going to be OK, Leo. Take a deep breath, bro." Mikey said.

Leo took a deep breath and the snowflakes stopped surrounding him. They all hugged and.the snow started to lift into the air and evaporate. As soon as they saw that, they all cheered and flopped onto the couch.

"I don't think I'll ever take the heat for granted ever again." Mikey said.

"Agreed." The rest said before falling asleep on the couch.
