Author's POV :

And with that, they stepped into the unknown, their hearts racing with the thrill of a new beginning.

In the days that followed, Siya and Raghav found themselves in the throes of a whirlwind romance, stolen moments between her busy work schedule and his preparations to leave for abroad. They talked for hours on the phone, sharing stories of their past and dreams for the future. They exchanged messages filled with emojis and inside jokes, building a bridge of digital love that spanned continents.

The night before Raghav's flight, they sat on the terrace of the Mehra mansion, the city lights twinkling like stars at their feet. "I'm scared," Siya admitted, her voice barely above a whisper. Raghav pulled her closer, his arm around her shoulders. "Me too," he said, his voice thick with emotion. "But we've got this. We've got each other."

They kissed under the velvet sky, their love a beacon in the vast expanse of uncertainty that lay ahead.

The weeks that followed were a blur of video calls and messages that grew longer and more frequent. They shared their days with each other, the mundane and the extraordinary. Raghav's tales of medical school were fascinating, and Siya's stories of her event planning escapades kept him grounded. They laughed, they cried, they missed each other fiercely. The distance was a constant reminder of the fragility of their newfound relationship, but it also served to strengthen the bond between them.

Months turned into years, and their love grew stronger with every passing day. The time difference was a challenge, but they made it work, their love a testament to the power of communication and patience. They had their ups and downs, their fights and misunderstandings, but each hurdle only made them more determined to conquer the miles that separated them.

And then, one cold winter evening, Siya received a call that changed everything. It was Raghav, his voice thick with excitement. "I've got some news," he said, and she could almost see his smile through the phone screen. "I've been offered a residency at a hospital in New York."

Her heart skipped a beat. "That's amazing," she said, trying to keep her voice steady. "But what about us?"

"What about us?" he echoed, his tone playful. "I'll just be a plane ride away."

Their conversation grew serious as they discussed the future, the possibility of her joining him once she had saved enough money and figured out her career. "We'll make it work," he assured her, his voice filled with conviction. "We've got this, Siya. I promise."

And so, with hope in their hearts and a love that had grown beyond the confines of their hometown, they faced the future together, ready to conquer whatever lay ahead. The end of one chapter was just the beginning of another, and they were eager to write their story across the pages of life, come what may.

The months leading up to Raghav's surprise proposal were filled with secret meetings and whispered conversations. He had made up his mind—he was going to ask Siya to marry him, and he wanted to do it in a way that would take her breath away. With the help of their parents, who had grown fond of their blossoming relationship, Raghav began to plan the most elaborate and heartfelt proposal she could ever imagine.

The day of the proposal dawned, and Siya had no idea what was in store. She was busy with a wedding event at a five-star hotel, her thoughts racing with the last-minute details. The air was fragrant with the scent of fresh flowers and the clink of glasses as the caterers set up the grand ballroom. It was a beautiful setting, but little did she know it was about to become even more magical.

As the sun set, casting a warm glow over the city, Raghav arrived at the hotel, his heart pounding in his chest. He was dressed in a tailored tuxedo, looking every bit the dashing doctor that had captured her heart. He had flown in from New York especially for this moment, his flight schedule cleared for the weekend. He found Siya in the middle of a flurry of activity, her hair pulled back in a neat bun, her eyes sparkling with the same passion she had for her work.

The event wound down, and as the last guest left the ballroom, Raghav took her hand and led her to the terrace. It had been transformed into a vision of their past, with twinkling lights and the soft hum of their favorite Bollywood love songs playing in the background. She gasped as she took in the sight, her eyes filling with tears. "What is this?" she whispered.

Raghav dropped to one knee, his heart in his throat. "Siya," he said, his voice thick with emotion,

"I know we've been apart for a while, but I've realized that no distance can keep me from you. I want to spend the rest of my life making you happy."

He pulled out a small velvet box, and inside, nestled on a bed of silk, was a ring that gleamed under the moonlight—a diamond surrounded by rubies, the colors of her favorite flowers. "Will you marry me?" he asked, his eyes searching hers for the answer he so desperately wanted to hear.

Siya felt as if time had stopped. The world around them melted away, leaving only the two of them standing on the edge of forever. She looked down at the ring, her hand trembling. "Yes," she breathed, her voice barely audible. "Yes, Raghav, I will marry you."

Their parents emerged from the shadows, their faces wreathed in smiles. They had known about the proposal for weeks, eagerly awaiting the moment when their children would take the next step in their journey together. There were hugs, tears, and laughter as they all shared in the joy of the moment.

But the surprises didn't end there. Raghav took her hand and led her to a quiet corner of the terrace, his eyes shining with excitement. "There's one more thing," he said, his voice filled with a nervous excitement. "I've been offered a permanent position at a hospital here in India."

Siya's jaw dropped. "What?" she managed to say, her eyes wide with shock.Raghav nodded, a wide smile spreading across his face. "I've decided to come back for good. I can't imagine a future without you by my side."

Her heart swelled with love and gratitude. He had given up his life in New York, his dreams of a career in the fast-paced world of American medicine, all for her. "Thank you," she whispered, her voice thick with emotion. "Thank you for choosing me."

They stood there, holding each other tightly, the weight of their decision settling over them like a warm blanket. It was the start of a new chapter in their lives, one that would be written together, in the city where their love had first bloomed.

The next few months were a whirlwind of planning and preparation. Raghav moved back to India, diving into his new job with the same enthusiasm he had for their long-distance relationship. Siya juggled her event management career with helping him settle in, her heart fluttering every time she saw him in his doctor's scrubs, a stark reminder of the life they were building together.
