"Ladies and Gentlemen the Pilot has turned on your seatbelt signs could you please buckle up. We will be landing shortly, the local time is 7:56 pm, we hope you enjoyed your flight with National Airlines and we welcome you to New York."

"Oh my gosh, look out the window!" Kylie my 14 year old sister squealed.

My breath caught in my throat as I leaned over her and I took in the New York City sky line, the sun was setting , and the sky line was glowing with lights. We come from a small city in Texas, where the only thing we could see for miles was dirt and grass.

But the beauty didn't matter once I felt the plane descending, my stomach turning, and my head began to spin. This was my first flying experience and hopefully this will be my last, I am absolutely miserable.

Once we were safely on the ground, the nausea slowly faded away. The second the doors opened, with my carry on in hand I pushed past a sea of people in attempt to exit the aircraft as quickly as possible. My sister and our friends made their way to me, laughter filling my ears.

"There is nothing even remotely funny about this," I glared at the three girls.

"Oh come on Lynn it's a little funny," Michelle my best friend grinned at me while throwing her arm around my shoulders.

"Whatever, can we go now?" I complained.

"Yes let's go get our luggage, are you ready girls?" She asked both of our little sisters.

They looked up from their phones to give us a slight nod before looking back down and walking.

"I swear if they are on those phone the entire time I'm going to find the nearest water source and throw them in," I joked.

"You wouldn't dare?" Kylie asked with shock and horror in her eyes.

"She is right, we bring y'all to New freaking York as a birthday present and y'all would rather be on your phones." Michelle lectured the girls.

"That doesn't justify you killing my baby!" Bethany, Michelle's youngest sister, practically yelled.

"How about we compromised?" I suggested, "While we are out on the town or sight seeing no phones, unless for pictures. And y'all can have them out, and do whatever it is y'all do on them, the rest of the time."

"I guess that sounds okay," Bethany turned to Kylie.

"Yeah fine," Kylie murmured.

"Good now let's get out of here."

The ride from the airport to our hotel took more than an hour, not that I was complaining, I was completely in awe of the lights and big city life.

The four of us were in New York as a birthday present for Kylie and Bethany 14th birthday. A few months ago by some miracle I had won a radio competition that included, 4 front row tickets and backstage passes to a One Direction concert (within the U.S) of my choice, as well as hotel accommodations. My little sister and Bethany were absolutely obsessed with them. Kylie's room was filled with over 30 posters of them as well as cardboard cutouts, which honestly creeped me out and was the reason why I never went into her room. However Michelle and I were covering the airfare as well as any other expenses, so it was only fair that we got to pick the location, figured the two of us might as well get to have some fun too.

We were staying in a well known five star hotel in a busy part of New York City.

"May I help you?" The front desk receptionist asked with a forced smile.

"Hello, we have a reservation under Taylor, Brooklyn Taylor." I answered weakly.

"Okay let me see," she said looking down typing away on the computer in front of her. "Okay here it is, a Queen Suit for Four people is that correct?"

"Yes ma'am."

"The room is paid for but I will need to see your id and credit card, incase anything else is charged to the room," she said sticking her boney hand out over the counter.

I quickly dug in my purse to retrieve the items before handing them over.

"How many keys will you need?"

"Just two will be fine."

"Alright Miss. Taylor, here are your keys. This is Chris," she pointed to a man walking up to us."He will take you up to your room. Please enjoy your stay."

Chris quickly gathered all our bags and leading us to the elevators.

"Is this your first time staying here?" He asked.

"Is it that obvious?" Michelle laughed.

"Kinda," Chris joined in.

"Where is the pool?" Kylie asked.

"If you take this hall" Chris pointed to the hallway to the right of the elevators, " and take a left it will lead you straight there. And the in house restaurant is down this hall," pointing the opposite side, "you will walk straight into it."

Just then the elevator doors opened, all 5 of us stepped in and Chris pushed the number 24.

"Let's take a us'e" Bethany squealed pointing to a floor to celling mirror on the back wall of the elevator.

Chris laughed, "what is an us'e and should I be scared?"

"It is like an selfie but with a group, get it an US'e" Bethany explained.

This time we all joined in with laughter before facing the back wall making ridiculous faces until the elevator stopped on our floor. Chris walked us down the hall to our room, unlocked our door and motioned us in.

The room was enormous, two queen beds were on one side of a small wall while a sitting area and counter with a mini fridge and coffee pot was on the other. One wall was made completely of windows giving us an incredible view of New York. The bathroom was just as extravagant. Chris unloaded the dolly of our suitcases and left us to settle in. I was scared to even look at anything afraid I would break it, and not be able to afford it. The girls immediately grabbed their phones and began taking pictures. While Michelle took to the mini fridge to see what was in there.

"Bingo!" She giggled as she grabbed a bottle of wine from the fridge and some cups that were on the counter and poured her self and me a glass.

"Can we have a glass?" Kylie asked running up to us.

"Are you 21?" Michelle laughed.

"No but, our parents aren't here!"

"Kylie, mom and dad would kill me if they knew I let you have a glass."

"Fine." She said and angrily stomped back to the bed her and Bethany were sharing.

There was a 7 year age gap between us, after a complicated pregnancy with me, my parents were told they couldn't have anymore kids. So when mom found out she was pregnant 7 years later everyone was shocked. Michelle was 21 as well but the age gap between her and Bethany didn't seem as big considering that her parents had 3 boys in between.

It worked out though, our mom's were best friends growing up so it was only natural that we would grow up to be best friends, and now our baby sisters too.

"To a life changing experience, and being the worlds best big sisters!" Michelle held her cup up to mine.

"Cheers!" I smiled back at her. "I have a feeling this is going to be an amazing trip."
