Although Siobhan could hear the faint pleas for an answer coming from Vivian, Roger was far too deep in his rage to notice, thankfully. The blonde could tell that Roger had had far too much to drink whilst he was out by the way he was stumbling over to the terrified woman who perched on their bed. As soon as the wicked man saw his frail fiancé, he was quick to start screaming the house down, swearing at her and waving his fists in the air whilst he belittled her. As Roger bellowed down his partners ear about how awful his day had been, how exhausted he was, how sick he was of Siobhan being the way she was, looking the way she did and acting the way she did, all the poor woman could focus on was Vivian hearing every word.By this point, Vivian was visibly terrified for her dear friend. She felt incredibly guilty about the fact she wasn't able to do anything to stop the situation, all she could do was listen. As she listened to Roger's inhumane words and Siobhan's pleas for an end to this cruelty, all fell silent. And then a thud. There were no words spoken for what felt like a lifetime, until Siobhan's quiet and weak sobs could be heard. Vivian was still relentlessly shouting for her friend, not taking into account that the deranged man in the room with Siobhan may have heard Vivian's pleads.
"Who's this?" Roger asked, demandingly as he snarled down the phone.
"It's Vivian, is Siobhan oka-," Vivian tried to blurt out. Roger had hung up the phone before she had the chance to finish her question, which left her feeling even more terrified and worried than before.
The moment Roger hung up the phone, Siobhan lost her one sense of security. The room fell completely silent as the infuriated man slowly turned towards the trembling woman on the floor. She felt her breathing stop as his eyes landed on her.
"You stupid bitch! Do you understand what you've just done?!" he towered over her small figure making her draw in on herself slowly, in an attempt to protect herself from whatever he planned on doing to her next.
It was frequent that he would insult her, belittle her, even just completely ignore her existence for days whilst she begged for him to talk to her. But it was rarer that he laid his hands on her, he didn't feel as if she was worth his energy. Although it was rarer than his yelling, that didn't mean it didn't happen often. She had become a professional at covering her injuries, preparing herself each morning for the bruise or cut that would soon surface.
Every day she wished that her skills would prove poor and somebody would notice the big black bruise that adorned her eye or the cut that ran down her forehead but she was sorely disappointed. She had never had someone truly notice, to give her the time of day to care. Until Vivian. She was her rock, her light in the darkness and she had fucked it up. The second Roger picked up that phone she knew that she would never see her again.
It was evident to her that he would go after her, he would hurt her. Siobhan couldn't let that happen. She was a mother and an amazing one at that. She would never be able to live with herself if she took her away from Jamie. Viv was her everything and now she was gone.
Thoughts of Vivian rushed through the ill-treated woman's mind as she lay on the cold wooden floors of her bedroom, watching her abuser storm out of the house yet again. Siobhan assumed he would be taking himself off to the local bar located not far from where they resided, as he was often found there after he'd gotten into a fight with her. Luckily, this meant he wouldn't be back home until she had already left for work, meaning her moments of peace and quiet would resume.
Siobhan liked the peace and quiet, although it meant being left with her thoughts. Thoughts of her past mistakes, her current situation with the nursery owner, and her one and only friend.
Shit. Vivian.
