(Dec 25)

Lockwood quietly walked across the bedroom, balancing a tray in one hand and a large box on the other. He glanced at the tray of food. Was it enough? Pudding. Chicken. Desserts and hot cocoa with marshmallows and candy canes. He looked at the bed now. He smiled fondly at the girl sleeping happily on the bed, his wife.

He put down the tray carefully on the tiny coffee table and placed the box on the floor.

"WAKE UP MY LOVE!!!!!!" He yelled as loud as he could as Lucy jumped up from her sleep.

She was wearing her Christmas hat (in her sleep) and her Christmas themed pajamas.

"God dammit, Anthony Lockwood, if I didn't love you, you'd be dead by now." She said.

"Hey, I made breakfast for you! Be grateful! And by the way, Merry Christmas," Lockwood replied.

"You really didn't have to, Lockwood," Lucy shook her head affectionately. "Merry Christmas too, by the way,"

"Aww, eat faster! I prepared something else for you too," Lockwood said, acting like a child.

"Sometimes I wonder why I even married you," Lucy snickered.

"Because you love me," Lockwood said in a matter-of-fact way. "I mean, who doesn't love me?"

"God, sometimes you could be full of yourself," Lucy muttered, although she stuffed in the food. "Actually, this is really good. Are you sure you made this?"

Lockwood glanced at her nervously. "Of course! I made it.. All by myself."

She looked at him as if to say, really?

"It was George, wasn't it?" She asked. Lockwood's face turned bright red.

"Uh, maybe."

She smiled. "Knew it,"

"But I promise, I tried! And nearly burned down the kitchen, but still.. I tried the pancakes!" Lockwood protested.

Lucy shook her head, still smiling happily.

"No matter how bad you cook, I'll still love you," Lucy told him, who gave her a sweet kiss.

"Merry Christmas again."

"Merry Christmas-oh wait, I have to give you your gift," Lucy said.

"Oh, I nearly forgot, too, but really, you can give me mine first." Lockwood said.

Lucy handed him a box from under the bed.

"For you," she said.

Lockwood opened it to see a yearly subscription to his favorite gossip magazines and a brand new coat. His eyes widened.

"Oh my god," he said.

"Knew you'd like it," she said smugly.

"Like it? I love it!" Lockwood said, then he suddenly turned sad. "Thanks. Now how can I beat you in the gift giving section?"

Lucy gave him a kiss, tiptoeing up to reach his height.

"Don't worry, I'll love it anyway," Lucy said.

"Okay, here it goes," he said and handed her the box. "I personally wrapped the gift," he said happily.

Lucy looked at him in a very fond way.

She opened the box to find a brand new silver rapier. She grinned.

"Love it," she declared, Lockwood sighing in relief.

"Thank the lord," he said.

"I love you," Lucy said.

"I love you more," Lockwood replied to that and swooped in to steal a kiss.
