(Dec 27)

"Merry late Christmas, lovebirds!" George greeted as he stepped within the warm Lockwood family house.

"Christmas!" Lucy yelled from the kitchen.

"I have to give you guys your gift." George said.

Lucy and George fought less than before, both quite grown up and they'd become great friends. (Well, sometimes.)

"I have your gift under the tree too," Lucy said, coming into the living room. The fire was crackling warmly in the fireplace, the Christmas tree lighting up the room.

George grabbed his gift labeled 'George the grinch' in Lucy's scribbled handwriting.

"Me, a grinch?" George said sulkily. "I'm anything but a grinch,"

"See? You're a grinch, don't deny it." Lucy said and got her gift from George.

She sat down on the sofa happily and was about to open the gift when George asked "where is Lockwood anyway?"

"Dunno," Lucy said. "Open your gift,"

They ripped it open at the same time.

"Nice," Lucy smiled at the apron. It was labeled 'Christmas girl' with a reindeer on the front.

"What in the world?!" George exclaimed at his gift.

"It's a headband," Lucy said proudly. George groaned.

"I'm a boy," George said. "A manly man."

"Yeah, right," Lockwood snorted as he came in the room and sat down beside Lucy on the sofa. George glared at him.

"A reindeer headband!" George complained. "What kind of a gift is this?"

"It's great, the reindeer even sings 'jingle bells' when you put tiny batteries in it," Lucy said.

"Great," George said sarcastically.

"I know right?" Lockwood said cheerfully. "I chose it with Luce,"

"Give me a beer." George said. "I don't even know why I'm mates with you two,"

Both of them ignored him.

"And a hot chocolate for me!" Lucy said as Lockwood stood up.

"God, will you never get tired of that," Lockwood shook his head.

"Never," Lucy said. "It's Christmas. I'll never get bored of hot chocolate."

Lockwood handed George his can of beer and Lucy her instant hot chocolate. For him, a good cup of tea.

"We are three stupid parrots," George said after a moment.

"Two," Lucy corrected. "You two are stupid."

"Three, including you." Lockwood said.

"Why a parrot?" Lucy ignored Lockwood.

"Because. I like parrots," George shrugged. "Merry Christmas, parrots."

"Merry Christmas," Lucy and Lockwood echoed.
