[17]Battle against the Number One

The gate closes behind you three as you all step into the exam area; after this, Bakugo wastes no time and immediately begins marching ahead, with you and Midoriya following a few steps behind. The tension in the air is palpable as you and Midoriya share a look.

"We're gonna have to at least try to talk with him and come up with some kind of plan." You whispered to Midoriya, who nodded before speeding up to catch up with Bakugo.

"Kacchan, Listen. For this exam, the teacher's the villain, and we're the heroes, so we need a solid plan." Midoriya said as he walked beside Bakugo. "Normally, I'd suggest that we analyze the villain's combat ability and choose to fight them or run away based on that. But in this case, the villain is All Might, so we don't need to think about it because combat is out of the question. It'd be impossible to beat him in a fight." He explained only for Bakugo to ignore him and speed up.

"It's a really bad idea, Kacchan!" Midoriya said as he continued to follow Bakugo.

"Stop following me, both of you!" Bakugo shouted.

"At least try to listen to what he's saying." You speak up, grabbing Bakugo's shoulder.

"Shut up, [Y/N]!" Bakugo snapped at you as he pulled away from your grasp.

"All Might is probably waiting for us on this main road." Midoriya continued to attempt to reason with Bakugo.

"He's right, we should take another route." You added.

"I'm not gonna run away from this fight." Bakugo exclaimed. "It'll look better if we blast that smile off his face."

"No. We should avoid fighting him no matter what it takes." Midoriya aurged.

"I'm gonna toy with him until time is almost up, and then knock him unconscious for real!" Bakugo declared as he continued his march forward, but Midoriya didn't give up.

"Think about this! You know what All Might can do! Even with those handicap weights, it's impossible for you to win in a fight against him--" Midoriya exclaimed, only to be cut off by Bakugo swinging his arm back, striking across the face, and sending flying back.

"Midoriya!" You shout as you catch him.

"I don't wanna hear another word." Bakugo said, glaring at the both of you. "Just because you think you're getting stronger doesn't mean you get to tell me what to do."

"Why you bastard..." You growled as gaunlets, along with your mask, began forming.

"Wait, Kacchan!" Midoriya shouts at Bakugo, who has started walking away. "All I'm trying to do is get us to pass the final! This is for all of us."

"I told you, we don't need your dumb power to pass! I can win it all by myself!" Bakugo shouted.

"Will you stop yelling?! This is why we never have real conversations!" MIdoriya shouted back.

As the two of them argued, you noticed a massive shockwave quickly approaching from the distance. "Shit! Move dammit!" You exclaimed as you leap forward, shoving Bakugo behind you before slamming your hands onto the ground using your blood to form a protective barrier. However, the shockwave moved faster than you anticipated, tearing up the street and sending the three of you flying backwards.

"Who really cares if I destroy this city?" All Might asked as he walked out of the cloud of dust caused by the shockwave.

'Damn... When did he get so intimidating?' You think as All Might stomps one foot down, the shockwave of which clears the dust in the area and nearly sends the three of you flying back once again.

"If you think of this as an exam and not a real fight, you'll be sorry." All Might's voice boomed as he stared the three of you down. "I'm a villain now, heroes. Remember that. You'd better come at me with everything you've got. I won't pull my punches!"
