The training began, and it was intense. Each student was being subjected to different methods of training, the purpose of which was to push each of their quirks to their limits, breaking them so that they can grow back stronger. As for your training, you are currently standing in front of a metal pole with your blood gaunlets formed, throwing a flurry of attacks at it.
[Y/N] Hikari! By continuously striking the hard surface of the pole with his blood gaunlets and reforming them when they break. He is able to improve both the hardness of his blood constructs and the amount of blood he can use before suffering drawbacks.
After several hours of intense training, the evening arrived, and you, along with your fellow students, exhaustedly made your way back to the main facility.
"Now. Remember what I said? We're not serving you food anymore!" Pixie-Bob exclaimed, standing next to Ragdoll as you all arrived. In front of the two of them were a few tables lined with ingredients and cooking utensils.
"If you guys wanna eat, you'll have to make your own meals! Starting with curry!" Ragdoll added.
"Yes, ma'am." you all tiredly replied in unison.
"Oh, man, do you guys look exhausted." Ragdoll shouted with a laugh. "But that doesn't mean you can coast by making sloppy cat food."
"Oh! I see. An important part of saving someone recovering from a disaster is providing for their physical needs as well as spiritual." Iida thought out loud. "Ah! This is a great opportunity! Let's make the most delicious curry in the world, everyone!"
"Yeah, okay..." Everyone else groaned in unison.
With that, everyone quickly changed out of their gym uniforms into some comfortable clothes before getting to work. While some of the students worked on getting the fires and untensils ready, you, along with a few others, worked on preparing the curry's ingredients. Something you were quite good at thanks to your mom teaching you how to cook at a young age that and living alone for the past few years didn't really leave you with much choice. Eventually you finish up and begin carrying the prepared ingredients over to your classmates at the cooking area.
"Wow, those look great, [Y/N]!" Midoriya exclaimed as he caught sight of the neatly prepared ingredients in your hands.
"Agreed!" Mina added.
"Yeah, dude, where'd you even learn to do that?" Kaminari asked.
"Hm? Oh, my mom taught me the basics when I was little." You sheepishly answered.
"Awesome I bet she's an amazing cook!" Kaminari said with a grin.
"Oh... Yeah, she... she was." You said with a hint of sadness in your voice as you remembered the fond memories of cooking with your mother before she passed away.
Noticing this, Kaminari, Midoriya, and Mina all gain looks of worry on their faces, realizing they had unintentionally brought up a sensitive topic.
"Shit dude, I... I didn't know. I'm sorry," Kaminari said, feeling guilty for his thoughtless comment.
"You idiot!" Mina scolded Kaminari, giving him a punch on the arm.
"Hey, it's ok, really. Besides, there's no way you guys could have known." You reassured with a small smile. "With that out of the way, we should probably get back to the curry; it isn't going to cook itself."
With a nod, you all got back to work, and eventually the curry was done and you all sat down to enjoy the meal.
"If I got this at a restaurant, I'd send this crap. But after today, I'll eat every bite." Kirishima exclaimed as he shoveled spoonfuls of curry into his mouth, not noticing your unamused expression.
