You walk into the drawing room where the professor had introduced you to everyone. They're quietly bickering about what to do with the school, all goes silent when you enter the room. No one says a word, and you look between them all. Wondering what had happened while your brain felt like it was being shot.

"You look like you have no problems with Xaviers death." Storm grits, anger in her eyes. She was certainly distraught about the professor's death. You stay in the doorway. Crossing your arms over your chest. Staring her down as the leather from your jacket creaks.

"I knew Xavier before you arrived at this school. I know more about him than you ever will."

"And what's that?"
"You're positive you want to know?"
"Do your worst." She grits. You take a breath.

"Before he died, Xavier helped me regain some of my memory. He manipulated me to see the extent of my powers and I have a feeling he did the same with Jean when I ran off."

"Xavier wouldn't-"
You hold your hand in the air. Begging her for silence.

"Xavier, was like a father to a lot of his students. He brought us hope, he gave us love, he showed us a world where we all are the same, where we aren't scared to go out and live life. But he was also obsessed with his dream, he wanted it so badly that he hurt Jean, our friends, and I."

You look back to Storm. Giving her a kind smile.

"I think you should keep the school open. But only if you're willing to accept that Xavier wasn't always the hero you think he was."
A man approaches from beside you, walking down the hallway. Huge feathery wings flowing behind him.

"I'm sorry." He mumbles, "I know this is a bad time. I'm told this was a place for mutants." You look at Storm, giving her the choice. As did everyone else. It was up to her. Would she accept that Xavier was not the man she thought he was, or would she only remember the good in him?

"It is."

You can't help but smile a little. Offering him a tour, though you hardly knew the lay of the land yourself, you figured it might be better than sending one of the more distraught members of the group to get him acquainted with the space.

He accepts and you offer him your arm to hold while you give him a tour. He doesn't accept however, flinching a little at the movement. Your eyes widen a little as you put your arm down.

"Sorry, didn't mean to scare you."

You give him a rough approximation of everything, finally walking in silence as you attempt to find him a room. You weren't sure how to break the silence.

"I remember you." He says, watching as his eyes scan the space. Assessing for potential threats. Your eyes shoot up towards him. "You were part of that experiment Stryker did."

"Ex-experiment?"

He nods. Solemnity washing over his anxious figure.

"I was there for the testing he put you through. My- my father made me come along to some of the business meetings he had with Stryker."

He wrings his hands as you finally find a room for him. Giving him a small smile, figuring he didn't have anything else to say.

"This is your room. If you need anything, just give a holler."

You begin to walk away despite wanting more answers. But his voice calls you back.

"Warren industries took your memories after Stryker left the experiment to my father."
You turn back towards him. A small child's face registering in your mind with a sharp pain.

"They used you to help make the cure. They thought your regenerative mutation could help them. They didn't want you to think you had anything to go back to."

You walk towards him slowly. Trying not to make any sudden movements as his eyesight drops to the ground.

"It didn't matter if you had your memories or not. When my father let me see you, to 'teach me a lesson' about being a mutant. You always told me you'd be alright, that we were going to be alright."

You stand just beside him, watching as his wings droop a little further.

"When they found Leech, they just... dropped you in a forest and shot you." He fidgets with his hands a little more, and the small image of the boy with the molting wings and terrified face jumps into your mind. He always seemed so scared, especially considering when he showed up they wanted you to be on your best behavior and looking like shit.

"Warren. Right?" You ask as he takes your hand. You don't have to see the tears falling to the ground to know he's terrified. "I'm alright." You mumble as he cries, opening your free arm to him as he falls into you. Wrapping his arms around you like this is the one thing saving his life.

"We're gonna be alright."

You wrap your free arm around him. Holding him close. When was the last time he had someone give him a hug? Hold his hand? Comfort him?

"Look at your wings." You mutter. resting your head on the crown of his. "Last time I saw you they were molting, and you were still getting used to them. Now look at you."

He cries a little more into your shoulder. You weren't sure anyone had ever told him something adoring about his mutation.

"You're doing amazing."

You spot Logan, rushing back into the mansion. Shouting for Storm.

"We're going to win this fight, and when I get back, we can talk more alright?"
You feel terrible having to leave him alone, but you hug him a little tighter before your let go. Who knew if you were actually going to win, but you had to give him hope.

That's all you all really had.

"Logan, what is it?" You question as you rush into the foyer, Storm comes rushing down the stairs as Hank rushes into the room form a different hallway.

"What are you doing back here?" Storm questions as she continues to make her way down the stairs. She sees him for one moment and realization dawns on her face.

"You found her."
"Yeah." He says angrily. "She's with Magneto."

He stops beside you and puts his hands on his hips. You need to move.

"Where are they?" You question, watching as the other two come rushing towards you both.

"On the move. I know where they're going."

Hank approaches and looks incredibly confused and bewildered.

"You're saying you saw Magneto?"
"Yeah, we got to go." he starts moving towards the way down into the basement level. "Now."

You pause, the dots connecting. Where you had been tested on, and now where they were keeping 'Leech' a boy with the powers to cancel out the abilities of any other mutant.

"They're gonna attack Alcatraz." You say out loud and their heads turn to you. You wave them off.

"I'll explain later."

"There are troops stationed on that island." Hank chimes in, rushing behind you and Logan.

"Not enough to stop him." Logan calls back. You look behind you to see Warren, peering from behind the doorway. You give him a small smile as Logan leads the way.

"Let's suit up."
