with the speech from the parasites given it became much easier to liberate parasites, so easy shinji only had to send three units to each parasite this meant he could liberate multiple plantations at once, which also meant their numbers skyrocketed

and with papa and APE dead thanks to one of his first actions when he started this liberation being, the destruction of their space station through the use of his dreadnought-class vanguard battleship, wave motion gunning it to smithereens 

shinji was walking through the lionheart which acted as the deprograming hub and primary headquarters of the PLF

"general" a voice said i turned to see a blue haired girl

"your code 015, leader of squad 13 if i recall, oh wait you go by the name of ichigo right" i said

"uh yes, i have never seen anything like this" she said, i chuckled

"everyone in the PLF, is either a parasite or has had similar experiences to a parasite myself included, the point of the PLF is to liberate you all, and to show you, what you've been missing to show you what life has to offer, which is why every single parasite has unmitigated access to this ship's computer, i hide nothing, because i have nothing to hide" i said

"not even the evangelions" she asked, my smile tightened

"not even them, they are after all my story, just as their is data on martica and the ESPERs there is data on the evangelions and the three children designated to pilot them" i said

"why do you want to rescue you them" she asked, i paused

"my reasons are not wholly good, i want to rescue, asuka, and misato, and toji and all of my friends, my family, but i also want to  show my father that i am not as worthless as he seems to think i am, it may be selfish, but that is what makes me human" i said

"what will happen to us when you leave" she asked

"don't worry, martica will being staying here, and will teach you all you need to know about living, once this war of our ends, hell she has already started to teach many, but she has made it clear to our pilots her teachings cannot get in the way of their piloting or they will be taken off the roster, we don't want to lose anyone after all, that kinda defeats the purpose of us taking all this work to rescue you, my fight against them is my own, i have not, will not ask for help, especially when i don't think i'll need it" i said with another chuckle

"sir" a lieutenant ran up he looked panicked

"what is it" i asked

"alpha and the nines have showed up he's brought a large number of parasites who seem to still be loyal to papa and APE, they will arriving in a number of hours" the parasite lieutenant said

"prepare the Mk.06 for my use and also tell martica she is to get to her berkut inform all parasites they are to retreat with the flotilla, we will hold them off" i said, he stared at me but saluted

"sir" he said, and went to relay the order

"i must leave you it seems, duty calls after all" i said, as i left her beaming to the ptolemaios where the evangelion was located i had it beamed to the ground using the lionheart's transporters, before activating the EVA and coming to it's full height, it was armed with the lance of longinus i recovered from my universe, the one that would have otherwise been left to drift through space

the two units met the nearly fifty units that alpha had brought

"this ends today" alpha said

"i disagree, i have already given my orders for the flotilla to withdraw, and by withdraw i mean they have very specific orders considering they are all spaceships they will simply sit  in orbit from now on and continue operations, i have already trained a successor in case i fall today" i said, he growled

"you have ruined everything, papa's grand vision gone because you, all of the adults of the plantations you have stolen from are dead because of you" he said

"no it's because of their own choices" i said as the Mk.06 got into a battle stance

"though i do agree, this will end today" i said

"oh why is that, if your people are running" he asked

"because weather or not i win or lose, i will make sure to take out the last remaining vestiges of APE's regime, you and your squad" i said, alpha snarled at that

"we shall see" he said

"indeed we will" i said

"all units attack" alpha ordered as all the franxx charged in, and were met by beams of energy, as shinji turned to see his own force of franxx armed in beam rifles and their spears they stepped out

"we stand with our general, if this is your choice my siblings then we have no choice but to put you down" the lieutenant colonel spoke his name was tatsuo fugasaki, originally known as code 090 of squad 26

"your all fools, leave the nines to us, clear out all other units, surrender or destroy are the only options do not allow retreat" i ordered

"YES SIR" came the response from the nearly a hundred units that chose to stand behind him

"i believe we have you outnumbered two to one" i said

"papa will grant us victory" alpha snarled, i sighed

"begin assault" i said, as the PLF forces charged at the APE forces, leaving the four 9's model units against the berkut and the Mk.06, the mk.06 nodded to the berkut which nodded back it's grip on it's dual swords tightened, as i prepared my spear and charged the 9's model units not showing mercy as i quickly dispatched two of them, trying to end them painlessly, once the 9's were dealt with we joined the rest of the PLF forces, good news was a good half of the APE forces were in fact forced into coming to the 9's aid and immediately surrendered upon knowing of the 9s deaths, the other half however, refused to back down they were the most brainwashed shinji had seen and it would have brought tears to his eyes had he not been sitting in an entry plug surrounded by LCL fluid

"let's get back, we're done here" i said, the group nodded as they made their way back to the flotilla taking the captured units with them
