I was watering the flowers in the garden when Henry interrupted me. "Your Majesty," he greeted as he approached with a measured pace. I glanced at him, noting the tension in his eyes, though his posture remained as respectful as ever. "Speak," I demanded, sensing the urgency behind his appearance.

"Your Majesty, His Majesty's life is at risk," he revealed, his voice low but filled with gravity. The weight of his words immediately captured my full attention. I handed the watering can to Sarah, my hand trembling slightly. Without hesitation, I lifted my skirt and began to walk swiftly toward the palace.

"Edward, prepare a carriage. We leave immediately," I commanded as I passed by Edward, who was stationed nearby.

"As you wish, Your Majesty," Edward replied with a quick bow, already moving to fulfill my orders. I quickened my pace, my heart pounding in my chest. Henry kept pace with me, his expression a mix of concern and readiness.

"Your Majesty, what is your plan?" Henry asked, his voice barely above a whisper as we hurried through the corridors.

"Do not inform anyone of Her Majesty's absence. We will proceed directly to His Majesty," I declared, my voice firm and resolute. There was no room for hesitation, the situation demanded swift and decisive action. Hindi pwedeng mamatay ang Emperor, siya lamang ang makakatulong sa akin upang manatiling buhay dito sa mundong ito.

"Understood, Your Majesty," Henry responded, his tone now steady, reflecting the confidence he had in my decision. He did not question my capabilities, there was no time for doubt.

Sarah assisted me in gathering my essentials, her movements quick and efficient. Within moments, we left the palace under the cover of secrecy, our departure hidden from prying eyes. The gravity of the situation hung heavily in the air, but I was resolute—nothing would stand in my way.

The atmosphere around us felt unnervingly still. The moment I set foot on the ground, an unsettling silence greeted us, broken only by the rhythmic crashing of waves against the shore.

The small coastal village, nestled by the edge of the sea, appeared deserted. Every house along the shore was shut tight, doors and windows firmly closed, as if the entire place had been abandoned. Yet, I knew better—they were not truly empty. The villagers were likely on high alert, hiding away to avoid drawing any unwanted attention. The eerie stillness of the scene only heightened the tension in the air, the sense of foreboding growing stronger with every passing moment.

Naglibot pa kami hanggang sa nakarating kami sa pantalan. Akala ko wala na kaming makikita pang tao ngunit nagkamali ako, mayroon pang mga tao, mga lalaki na tila alerto rin.

I approached an old man who was busy securing the ropes of his small boat. "Are you a ferryman?" I asked, studying him closely, but it seemed my words didn’t register. "Maari ka bang maglayag? Kailangan kong makarating sa barkong iyon," I clarified, pointing toward the distant ship that was still visible from where I stood.
