A few days later, Aisha and Arjun were back in the city, attending yet another high-profile event-a charity gala hosted by one of Arjun's business partners. The night was glamorous, with the city's elite gathered under one roof, but Aisha felt on edge. The encounter with Natasha had left her feeling vulnerable, and the pressure to play the part of Arjun's loving fiancée was weighing heavily on her.

As they entered the grand ballroom, all eyes turned to them, and Aisha felt the familiar knot of anxiety tighten in her stomach. Arjun, as always, was composed and charming, his hand resting lightly on the small of her back as they made their way through the crowd.

"You look stunning," Arjun whispered in her ear, his breath warm against her skin.

Aisha smiled, grateful for his support. "Thank you."

They mingled with the guests, exchanging pleasantries and discussing business, but Aisha's mind was elsewhere. She kept scanning the room, half-expecting to see Natasha lurking in the shadows, ready to strike.

"Relax," Arjun murmured, sensing her tension. "You're doing great."

Aisha nodded, taking a deep breath. She was determined not to let her insecurities ruin the evening. After all, she had agreed to this arrangement, and she was going to see it through.

As the night went on, Aisha found herself enjoying the event more than she had expected. The music was lively, the champagne flowed freely, and Arjun stayed by her side, making her feel more comfortable than she had in weeks.

But just as she was beginning to let her guard down, she saw Natasha across the room, talking animatedly with a group of people. Aisha's heart skipped a beat, but she forced herself to stay calm. She wasn't going to let Natasha get to her-not tonight.

Natasha eventually spotted them and made her way over, her smile as sharp as ever. "Arjun, Aisha," she greeted them, her tone sugary sweet. "Lovely to see you again."

"Natasha," Arjun said coolly, his grip on Aisha's waist tightening slightly.

"I hope I'm not interrupting," Natasha said, though her eyes were fixed on Aisha with a challenge.

"Not at all," Aisha replied, her voice steady. "We were just enjoying the party."

Natasha's smile widened, but there was no warmth in it. "I'm sure you are. I just wanted to congratulate you both again on your engagement. It's so wonderful to see you two together."

Aisha smiled politely, though she could feel the tension between them. Natasha was clearly trying to provoke her, to see if she could get a reaction, but Aisha wasn't going to give her the satisfaction.

"Thank you, Natasha," Arjun said, his tone dismissive. "If you'll excuse us, Aisha and I were about to dance."

Natasha's eyes narrowed slightly, but she quickly masked it with another smile. "Of course. Enjoy your evening."

Arjun led Aisha onto the dance floor, and as they began to sway to the music, Aisha felt some of the tension leave her body. Arjun's arms were strong and steady around her, and she allowed herself to relax into the rhythm of the dance.

"You handled that well," Arjun murmured, his lips brushing against her ear.

"Thank you," Aisha replied, her heart racing from more than just the dance.

As they moved together, Aisha felt a sense of intimacy that was different from anything she had experienced before. It was as if the world around them had faded away, leaving just the two of them in their own little bubble.

Arjun's hand slid down her back, his touch sending shivers through her body. Aisha looked up at him, her eyes meeting his, and for a moment, she forgot about Natasha, about the arrangement, about everything except the man in front of her.

"Arjun," she whispered, her voice barely audible over the music.

He didn't respond with words, but the way he looked at her, the way his hands held her close, spoke volumes. There was a fire in his eyes, a desire that matched her own, and Aisha felt herself being drawn into it, powerless to resist.

As the dance came to an end, Arjun didn't let go. Instead, he leaned down and pressed a soft, lingering kiss to her lips, right there in front of everyone. It was a bold, possessive gesture, one that left no doubt about their connection.

Aisha's heart pounded in her chest as the crowd around them applauded, but all she could focus on was Arjun-his touch, his kiss, the way he made her feel. In that moment, nothing else mattered. Not Natasha, not the past, not the future. Just him.

As they left the dance floor, Arjun kept his arm around her, guiding her through the crowd with an air of authority that made Aisha feel both protected and desired. She didn't know what was going to happen next, but for the first time in a long time, she wasn't afraid. She was ready to face whatever came their way, as long as they faced it together.
