Ricky and Nini go on a break but Nini considers it a break up, she goes to camp and starts dating EJ Caswell.
Fast forward to the first day of school Ricky finds out Nini moved on and tries to win her back...

This is what Carly will be wearing in this part (it's not mentioned anywhere in the writing but I felt like adding an outfit to this part and there's going to be a different outfit for the next part.
It seemed just like any other summer night for one Carly Blackwell.
Little did she know, her night was about to get a whole lot more interesting.
She was chilling in her room (outfit above) at the moment messing around with her guitar, songbook open with a few words scribbled down. Turns out, they were song lyrics for a song she has been working on recently.
She was about to start playing again when her phone buzzed. She looked towards her phone, then at her clock, then back at her phone.
Her clock showed that it was already 9 pm, so she wasn't really sure who would be texting her this late. But her curiosity got the better of her.
She put her guitar down and grabbed her phone. She unlocks it and sees that she has a few new texts from Ricky in their group chat with Ricky and Big Red they made a while back.
Now she's definitely confused. Ricky was supposed to be at Nini's tonight. For him to be texting them this late when he is supposed to be with his girlfriend is a bit mind boggling.
Carly decides to stop stalling and opens the chat and reads the messages.

Hey, are guys free right now?
I really need to talk about something.
And hopefully get some advice.

I'm free. You can come over if you
want, Ricky. Red can too if he's not
busy.

I'm helping my mom with something right now,
it shouldn't take too long though. So I'll meet you
