Mom and dad are already seated when Mason and I arrive at the restaurant. It's nothing fancy, just a little diner that's about an 8 minute walk from the theater. My parents are gonna come with us after lunch to see the show again, once it's over I was gonna show them around the theater. Mom was pretty excited when I told her Mason would be joining us today. She said she enjoys getting to know him, and thinks he'll make a great friend for me. Claiming I can always use more friends, because I'm still a loner.

"Look at the two stars!" Dad says, as we walk up to the table. I roll my eyes, as dad gets up to hug me. I don't think I've seen my dad be this proud of me before, he uses any excuse to post about the show all over his Facebook. Mom said he tells anyone he can, even the cashiers at the grocery store. It means a lot to have such support from him, and feeling like I truly make him proud.

Mom hugs Mason first, "Wow thanks mom. I see who is more important." I joke.

Mom shoots me a look "I mean he did win an Oscar, Ash. Therefore he is more important."

I roll my eyes as Mom laughs, I know she's only teasing me. We all take our seats at the table. The waiter comes over and his eyes go wide when he sees Mason, but he thankfully keeps himself composed. We order our food, and start talking about the changes the show has gone through since my parents last saw it. Mom is excited that I got another song for the end of act one, which will be put in today.

The song is actually really good, and I think I can agree that it really did help with the character arch between Tyler and Eric. My hope is that it will be received well by the audiences. I tell mom how ticket sales have been doing great, and it seems that more people are recognizing me which is taking some getting used to. I'm still not ready to tell Mom about Mason and I though. Out of fear that I really don't know how she'll react. Let alone in the middle of the restaurant, so I'll have to save it for a later date.

Things with Mason have been going well, we have just been taking things slow and seeing where it goes. I'm still hesitant to go into a relationship, and maybe that's just because it's been a while. I also don't wanna push anything, and risk messing everything up with Mason. It's only been going and doing the show, then followed by hanging with our castmates or going back to the hotel. Occasionally we go back to either mine or Mason's room, and we'll just cuddle or well... make out.

"When am I gonna meet Grace Winder?" Mom says.

"I'm sure you can meet her after the show today." I laugh.

"I just can't wait to see what everything looks like behind the scenes, it must be so exciting!" She says enthusiastically.

My dad and Mason are having a separate conversation about some baseball team, and how they will probably get to a world championship. I don't follow along, and even if I tried I know I'll doze off. So I keep talking with mom about the show.

"It really is, I never thought I would be doing something like this." I say.

"Well your father and I are so proud of you Asher! We can't stop talking about you and the show!" Mom says, making dad look over at the sound of his name and nod in agreement. Dad is quick to get back to his conversation with Mason, to which mom and I laugh.

"I can tell" I giggle.

"Also Asher, can you tell the costume designer to get rid of the Green shirt you wear in the opening number? You know green is not your color." Mom says, stuffing her mouth with food.

"I don't know" Mason says "I think green looks very charming on Ash." I try my best not to let my cheeks heathen, or even shoot a look at Mason.

Mom looks to Mason, "The only red head that looks good in Green is The Little Mermaid. Asher is not her."
