The next day after Mephiles had changed the babys' diapers and had fed all of them he sat down silently on the couch with Miles in his lap as he watched the three hoglets play with the toys they had dragged from their room. He got an idea suddenly and materialized the same creature from before. Sonic giggled and took the creature by the fur and used it to help him stand up before clinging to it like it was his favorite pet. Shadow was startled by his brother's bravery but slowly started to pet the creature as a smile appeared on his face.

Silver was the only one who didn't advance to the creature, instead he got up and ran to Mephiles, tears running down his cheeks. "NO! NO! NO!" he screamed as he climbed up onto the couch and cuddled into Mephiles' side.

"What's the matter Silver, don't like Shadik?" Mephiles wondered as he hid a smile of triumph. Shadow had turned to his quiet brother at the sound of his sudden screams, shock filling his face.

"No!" Silver yelled angrily hot tears streaming down his face and staining Mephiles' lap, "he scawy!"

"Oh he ain't scary unless you provoke him, or unless I tell him to be scary." Mephiles chuckled as he patted Silver's shivering head. "But now that you talk will you tell me what your powers are?"

"No, they tupid." Silver mumbled his little kid language making the whole ordeal too cute for the villain who silently rubbed his forehead.

"Every power, no matter how you gain them, are enough to make the world a better place." He explained slowly as he tried to hide his impatience. "My kids had powers, they hid them and died. Do you want to die for hiding something that will help keep you alive?"

"No," Silver said slowly as he sat up and looked up at the villain who had turned to look him in the eye. He then glanced at his brothers before lifting his hand and looking at his little bear that he had dropped in his haste. A blueish green glow appeared on his hand and the bear as he used his powers to bring his precious toy back into his embrace.

"Challenge met and accomplished." Mephiles then chuckled as he lifted Miles to his shoulder and began to burp him.

"ME! ME!" Sonic cried suddenly as he let go of Shadik's fur and clapped his hands excitedly before stomping his feet to emphasize his impatience.

"Oh yes Sonic if you must." Mephiles waved it off as he continued to burp the kit. Sonic's glee grew tenfold as he giggled and danced about before disappearing in a blur as he ran through the house.

"He has powers now!?" Shadow exclaimed as he stood up. Mephiles nodded and stood up to lay the kit on the floor and change the diaper yet again.

"Though I think he always had those powers, since he's so good at using them, it would make sense." Mephiles then reached out and caught Sonic mid run by the belly making the hoglet grunt and squirm as his energy rose. "Though the longer he runs the more energy he gains. Really annoying if you ask me."

He then silently changed Sonic's diaper and released the overactive hoglet allowing him to get up and dance around before speeding his way through the house again. He picked up Miles and sat back down allowing the kit to fall asleep on his shoulder.

Silver sat there silently watching him as Shadow sat down next to them and Shadik went to lay in the corner. Wanting some peace and quiet Mephiles did what he used to do for his kids, he turned on the tv and put on Paws' claws which stopped Sonic dead in his tracks mesmerized by the interactiveness of the show. Before they knew it he was playing along with the characters answering the questions and solving the simple riddles.

"How did you know that would work?" Shadow asked quietly as he curled up making himself comfortable.

"Oh, it always works; but it's most potent to the overactive ones." Mephiles chortled, his eyes slowly closing as he rested his head on the back of the couch. "Then again I watch this when I need to release stress so I guess it's for all ages."
