chapter 3/ladies first

    Eva's POV
"you!"I exclaimed in shock
oh surely baby Jesus just had to bring this bossy stranger i groaned in despair.

   "morning madam"he mused  "so you know I'm a demon when it comes to punctuality"

     "I'm sorry sir"I replied as meekly as possible

    " Brian O'Rourke "he said offering a handshake

I accepted the offer, I felt it again that feeling deep in my abdomen what's it called.... well it's better to ignore it
     "Eva Thornton"I said realizing myself
 
he nodded grimly

"well miss Thornton I'd like you to sign just here"he said the miss so confidently that it infuriated me.

"please call me Eva "I said through my teeth
  
"documents "he reminded me
   
I signed it without reading and as expected he didn't fail to point it out

    "Eva you're so clumsy you just signed without reading through "

  I glared at him and bit my lower lips in frustration, I'll beat him up if I could but for now I owe him some respect

  BRIAN'S POV

     Her temper was just restrained by a tiny thread and I knew it and for some reason I enjoyed seeing her glare at me

  "I'm....not clumsy"she said between gritted teeth "you were obviously in a haste"she added

   "but I'd have......."the look on her face stopped me"fine get back to work it's 10:00 in the am "I said stealing a glance at my watch

  "I hope you looked both ways before crossing the road"I added for good measures

I could feel whatever thread holding her temper snapping to pieces, she was almost out of the door but turned sharply at my remark

"if I didn't I wouldn't be here speaking with you and by the way I came in my own car and oops... I would brought along your jacket if I had known you'd be my new boss" with that she left

   I grinned ,gosh it felt so right to have her glare at me like that.

              I sigh

   Well I do have a lot of work on my hands I'd better get on with it rather than  daydreaming about this emotional petite.

          I smiled

      I have to submit my report to Hardin Glen The head of my departments in the firm then I'll have Eva walk me around the building,well that's the best part.

    I can't recall the last time a woman glared at me like that , they f****** adored me but Eva's an exception to that rule she fascinated me.

    Eva Thornton...hmmmm.it sounded just right.

   when I got back to the office I went straight to her and literally barged into her space.
        shit!!!!

why am I so f****** glad to see her .her reaction to my entry was priceless

"you should've knocked like a responsible person before entering" she was literally screaming

"well maybe I'm not the least responsible"I winked at her

  "what do you want sir" f*** the formalities.
    
      "Brian "I mouthed "and I need you to show me around the building"

      "Theodore or even Rose would do a better job at it than me I promise I suck at it" she whispered

  "I want you to please"

she sighed and got up.

   she adjusted her clothes and took her lovely purse,with two piercing blue eyes staring straight at me I was lost she shifted from my gaze and gestured  towards the door.

      I shrugged

  "ladies first"I mouthed ,she went out ahead of me and watched me close the door

"where'd you like to see first" she asked

"you decide"I watched her hold in a breath

"I'll take you through the receptionist area first"she mused

"everything you say is fine with me Eva "

I couldn't help but notice the cold stares she received from the receptionists either they were jealous of her or they'd had some fight or the other with her ,she seemed unruffled, I gave in to my curiosity

"why do your colleagues stare coldly at you"

  "they think I'm too abstemious, I don't party with them and I don't give a damn about their cares why'd did you ask"

"it's hard to miss their stares "

"well I'm used to it I don't party ,I don't drink ,and I have my own reasons so I'll deal with it and thanks for asking"

"you don't have to manage "I didn't miss her pained expression either

      Need..raw need

the f****** need to protect her

    I don't friggin need this emotion right now I just need to keep our relationship strictly professional but the more I see her the more emotions I feel

   Need.Desire.Care.

"why are you staring at me like that"her voice brought me back to now

she's so pretty and stubborn a perfect combination, a combination I'd never dreamt of falling hard for.

    No I've not fallen for her I just care for her but still I couldn't help suggesting.........

      "I've got a plan"I smiled at her
