Chapter 9/friends

Eva's POV

   When he joined his lips with mine, everything in my head went south as I poured my soul into this one kiss because I knew I'd make him hate me to the point that kissing me again would be his last assignment on earth.

I couldn't stop the tears that flowed freely

I hurt him.I hurt him real bad

It all comes down to my shitty past right, I was alone in my pain until I met lara macKenna and Sandy Jones back in college

       fuck!!

I refuse even to be reminded of her name,she was  my biggest mistakes,my biggest lies and one of my best loves.

I really need to speak to Lara about this maybe she'd find me a way of dealing with this situation, I broke off a relationship before it even began, well it's better to get it over with now before it progressed to unbreakable because everything in my life's breakable.

Lara macKenna was one hell of a lady, she was very sociable and lovable than I'll ever be , despite our differences she's always been there for me even when I wasn't.

It was almost midnight when I made it to her boyfriend's club, everyone was in a party mode, she moved in with her boyfriend a year ago.

it was a high class club, people were troping in and out, there was a flurry of activity and Lara was nowhere to be seen.

I spotted her boyfriend Jeffrey Fitch he was just observing the crowd in amusement, gosh Lara had good eye for men and although I never had any romantic ideas for Jeff I couldn't deny that he was handsome, a tall masculine guy with brown eyes which depicted series of emotions, he was all American but he also had a fucked up past like me but unlike me he battled with his demons well and even got a girl who would be by him at all times.
         How lucky he is.

"Hi Jeff"I hailed as I moved close to him

"hey Eva, it's been a long time since I last saw you kiddo"I laughed
       Jeff was among the very few I was cool with

"I've been so tied up with work"

"t's fine, I'll go get Lara"he added with a smile

I mouthed a"thanks"before he left

   I signaled to a waitress that I wanted to be served,i ordered Bollinger my favourite champagne, it reminded me of her and it hurts.

    Soon enough Lara came in through the back door with a bright smile that hinted her lovely dimples on both cheeks, she turned heads wherever she went.

she was been shepherded by Jeff,with his hand at the small of her back as they made their way through the throng of people.

"Eva"she howled excitedly

"hi there"I got up to hug her

unlike me Lara was taller and like me she had that eerily baby blues.

"how've you been bitch"she asked cheerfully

"I'm good"I murmur

Jeff gave lara a swift kiss and he murmured something to her lips before he left to give us privacy, Lara stared at his retreating back all lovey dovey.

gosh am so jealous and happy for her at the same time

she deserved to be happy with him, after their rocky relationship he'd finally allowed her to change him for the better.
