Third person POV
Y/N had to take a minute to double take. Not only did she catch Michael in her house, but he was also injured...and he was also livid.
He was standing by a broken mirror, likely having been able to slip through the window, but tripping on the wire set up by the guys, and breaking the mirror, injuring himself in the process. She could see the blood staining his blue, mechanic suit, the shards sticking out of his skin, his hands, his face, his whole body. It wasn't pretty. She could see that his anger had risen with every single drop of his blood that was spilt over that broken mirror and that trip wire. She could tell he was not in a good mood. It was terrible. Horrible. This was the worst way their first encounter could possibly go. It could end with her dead.
She took a few steps back, trying to go for a walk so he couldn't toss her around easily, and she knew that he could still move. There was no way he'd be incapacitated just from that. She watched too many horror movies for him to kill her so easily.
However, in Michael's eyes, he saw her move of pure fear and shock, as a move of guilt. It made him believe that she was the one who had set that trap and hurt him. He was most definitely going to make her pay. She would have to have a great reason for this, and she'd have to offer the world for him to accept an apology from her, because in his eyes, she was the one who was out to hurt him. She had to quickly turn that around.
She watched as he slowly walked closer, before springing forth in a sudden sprint, trapping her against the wall, his large knife pressed against her neck menacingly, looking down at her with that ruthless, deathly stare, pressing her between the wall and himself as he made it impossible for her to escape, her head roughly held against the wall by his hand that was currently gripping her hair. He was looking at her, giving her a chance, a single chance to explain and give a damn good excuse for this.
She would be stupid if she didn't take this chance. Her whole life was flashing before her eyes. If she was scared by Billy and Brahms earlier, this must've been what the fear of God felt like because there was no way on earth the amount of fear she was feeling was normal in this situation. She wanted the earth to open up and swallow her whole, to keep her safe inside its burning, molten core, she'd rather experience something like that than be in this situation.
She was starting to panic. Genuine panic was flooding her features, this made her adrenaline start rushing, her brain was running through millions of ways to deal with this, carefully picking through information to try and bribe her way to living, soon speaking, the fear in her voice was almost palpable.
"Wait..please, I didn't set this up, I swear. I didn't even know you were gonna do this, I'll help you if you'll let me," she continued on, practically begging, "I swear I will, just please give me a chance to explain. Don't kill me, I'll bandage you right back up, you'll be good as new, I promise."Now this girl was being genuine. Michael could see it in her eyes. She was being genuinely truthful, honestly being guiltless in this entire situation.
Begrudgingly, he was about to step back and allow her to help him, however, he suddenly got attacked by two men from behind. Billy and Brahms. Michael was not about to let that stand. Billy stabbed Michael in the shoulder with a glass unicorn figure, causing the bigger man to tense and hit back, lodging his knife into Billy's arm, before having to pull back due to Brahms hitting him over the head with a rock.
Due to Brahms' attack, Michael was now onto him, punching him once then stabbing him in the shoulder, however, before it could escalate any further, she quickly made a point to stand between the men, inevitably resulting in her own injury, a slash across her back that was about eight inches in length. She spoke quickly,
"Please just stop, he wasn't gonna hurt me in the first place, there's no need to fight right now it just means that there's more people I need to take care of. He wasn't gonna hurt me. Please relax."
