The dark clouds outside the L/n Manor created an odd and strange atmosphere for the evening's events. Y/n was looking in the mirror, wearing green earrings that matched her necklace and a black long formal dress designed for such occasions.

"Y/n, darling, hurry up or we'll be late," her mother yelled from downstairs.

"In a minute," she yelled back, wearing her black boots and retrieving her wand before leaving for the living room.

"Great, let's go," Her father said, as she descended the stairs.

"Where are going?" Y/n questioned her parents.

"You'll see," Her mother replied, which caused Y/n to roll her eyes.

They used to be secretive about their whereabouts, only informing Y/n last minute. She had no idea, and it made her feel nauseous. With You-Know-Who's return, the wizarding world began to enter a period of darkness. Y/n knew her parents, particularly his father, were followers of the dark wizard, but she never imagined he would join them. He had been so devoted to him that Y/n was upset with her father's belief.

Before apparating, Y/n grabbed her parents' hands. When her feet touched the ground again, she looked around her surroundings, gazing at the large manor in front of her, making her gulp.

"Why are we at the Malfoy's?" she asked, not receiving a response. She'd come there during their third year, at Christmas, when everything was much more welcoming and cheerful. Draco and she were good friends, about to begin their sixth year at Hogwarts at the end of the summer.

"Behave in there, Y/n, and address him as 'My Lord' when he speaks to you," his father warned her.

She nodded, waiting for the night to end already.

The door opened, revealing a short man who smirked briefly at them before leading them to the table where everyone else was sitting.

The first thing Y/n noticed was a bold man at the head of the table, wearing a dark green cloak. He turned to face them as he rose from his chair. Y/n's parents immediately lower their heads in respect, possibly out of fear, and Y/n mimiced their actions.

"My Lord," her parents said.

"Ah, you finally arrived," the dark lord said. "Is that your daughter?" he said.

"Yes, my Lord," Y/n's father responded.

"Please sit"

Y/n looked around, spotted a seat next to Draco, and went to sit next to him. They made brief eye contact to avoid drawing attention from the others.

"Mrs L/n, finally you are able to join us," the dark lord said, turning to Y/n. She had an expressionless face, making it impossible for others to understand her true emotions. Truth be told, she was dying from nervousness and fear.

"The pleasure is mine, my lord," she replied, looking him straight in the eye with her chin up, making the dark lord marvel at her courage in looking at him.

"We're gathered here today," he said, looking at each of them. "As a new member is about to join, properly our side," he said, his gaze returning to Y/n's.

"Rise," he commanded.

She approached him with steady, slow steps. As she stood in front of him, the dark lord harshly grabbed her left arm and pointed his wand at it. Slowly, the dark mark appeared on her arm, burning her but making no expression to indicate that it was hurting her.

With the dark mark fully in her arm, Y/n returned to her seat. Draco extended his hand down the table, unknown to others, as they interlocked, squeezing it slightly to indicate that he was with her.

"We'll meet again soon," said the dark lord before disappearing, followed by the other Deatheaters in the room.

Narcissa approached and told them to go up to Draco's dorm.

After they left the dining area, soft tears began to form on Y/n's orbs. When they reached Draco's dorm, she hugged him tightly, burying her head in the crook of his neck as they sat on the floor. Draco whispered sweet nothings into her ear, attempting to calm her down while caressing her back for comfort. After they separated, Y/n gave Draco a weak smile.

"When did you get your own?" she asked, pointing at the dark mark.

"Last week," he replied, looking into her e/c eyes.

"Father said we are meant to fix a vanishing cabinet once we return to Hogwarts" "Then that's what we'll do" she replied.

"No, you're already involved in this situation, I won't let you" he continued.

"Draco, we're in this together, I'll be there for you no matter what" A knock was heard on the door, which opened slightly. Narcissa smiled weakly at them.

"Y/n, dear, you'll sleep the night here"

"Alright Mrs Malfoy"

"If it's okay with you, Draco, maybe she could sleep with you. I know this is difficult to process, and you'll need each other," she said to her son.

"Of course mother"

"Alright, if you need anything let me know, good night, everything is going to be okay" she smiled at them before closing the door, leaving them alone once again.

"I don't have anything to change into fot the night" y/n turned shyly to Draco.

"Oh yes of course" he said, walking to his closer, grabbing a slithering sweater with his name on it at the back, handing it to her. She went and changed inside the bathroom, and when she returned to Draco's room, he couldn't do anything but stare at how cute she was in his clothes.

"Hmm, you look cute in my clothes," Draco smirked at her, eliciting a soft chuckle from Y/n as she slipped under the blankets.

"Then you should allow me to wear them more often," she said, turning to him.

"Trust me, I will"
