Demon Giyuu Tomioka

Chapter 5: Return

Sanemi and Tanjiro made it back to the corp. 

"Sanemi.. I think we need to make up a good excuse" Tanjiro was sweating nervously.

"What? Just tell them it was a mission and we found Giyuu." Sanemi replied.

"I don't think this will fool them either way since like you said.. there is no assigned missions for today." Tanjiro replied nervously.

"Goddammit. So you want us to tell them everything?" Sanemi replied.

"Uhhuh.. There's Rengoku and Uzui staring at us right now.." Tanjiro pointed at the two hashiras standing.

Sanemi cleared his throat then approached them.

"May I ask what you two were doing? And Tanjiro, your sister woke up looking for you." Rengoku asked.

"Hai mister Rengoku.. I.." Tanjiro was sweating nervously having no idea what to say.

"We got something to discuss with you two." Sanemi put his hand on Tanjiro's back as a signal that he got it.

But Tanjiro can smell irritation from Sanemi.. seems he is gonna deal with the wind hashira's wrath later on-

"Listen.. as much as I hate to say. We went to mountain kumotori on our own in search of Muzan since this is where he was last found by Giyuu." Sanemi spoke.

"Are you insane? Finding Muzan all by yourself is suicide!" Tengen yelled.

"At least tell us so we can join too.." Rengoku replied.

"I thought you two would protest if I told you." Sanemi scoffed. "Whatever.. listen we found something that I doubt any of you are ready to hear." Sanemi got nervous.

Rengoku and Uzui both listened..

"Giyuu is not dead..but.." Sanemi tried to explain but he was interrupted.. "Alive? then where is he?" Rengoku replied loudly.

"Keep it down, Kyojurou.. no need to be too loud." Uzui scratching his ears.

"No.. What happened to Giyuu was horrible.. He wasn't killed he.." Tanjiro spoke up.

"He was turned into a demon.." Tanjiro finally finished his sentence. Both Rengoku and Uzui widdened their eyes.

Muzan turned Giyuu into a demon? Usually they get news about their comrades getting killed off right away instead.. so this is new.

Why would Muzan turn a hashira into a demon if he despises them?

They heard a footstep walking away. All of the 3 hashiras and Tanjiro paused when there was someone listening to their conversation.

"Was that.. Shinobu?" Uzui spoke.

"She always tried to get along with Giyuu.. I don't know how can she handle the news about him being a demon.." Rengoku was worried.

"I'll go check on her." Tanjiro spoke.. but suprisingly.. Sanemi volountered too.. since when Sanemi showed much care to anyone?

Tanjiro remembered what Shinobu said.. her sister, Kanae.. He heard Sanemi did have a crush on her older sister but she died to an Upper Moon.. It makes sense why Sanemi want to check on her.

They went inside the butterfly mansion seeing Aoi and Kanao really concerned while the three butterfly girls, Naho, Kiyu and Sumi were the only ones who saw Shinobu passes by with tears dropping.

"What happened?" Aoi asked looking at the two slayers.

Tanjiro don't know how to say.. but everyone had to know. Everyone must be warned that Giyuu is now a demon and if anyone possibly encounters him pretending to be human.. is NOT Giyuu. Not anymore.
