"This isn’t how we do things in my house," she declared, looking down on the dishes Farah had worked hard to prepare. She insisted on replacing some with her own recipes, claiming they were far better.
Farah, though hurt by Sakeena’s constant disapproval, stayed calm. She worked tirelessly alongside others, trying to meet Sakeena’s demands while ensuring some of the family’s original dishes weren’t completely removed. It was a delicate balance that required patience and diplomacy.
