It was another busy day at Haneul’s flower shop, and the buzz of customers had become a regular sound in her life. Ever since the grand opening, the shop had gained a reputation in the town, with people coming from all corners to buy flowers for all kinds of occasions. The steady stream of customers made Haneul feel a sense of pride she hadn’t experienced before.
The shop was bustling, with Rowoon cheerfully helping customers as Haneul worked on a new order behind the counter. She carefully arranged a bouquet of lilies, her hands moving swiftly yet gently. Just as she was about to finish, the doorbell chimed again. This time, a man in a crisp black suit stepped inside, glancing around the shop with a look of appreciation.
Haneul noticed him immediately. He wasn’t the usual type of customer that wandered into the shop. He looked official, professional even, and she could sense that something big was coming.
"Hi, can I help u with something?", Haneul asked, wiping her hands on her apron and walking over to greet him.
The man smiled politely,
"Yes, actually. I’m with Blossom Events, one of the top event management companies in Korea. We’ve heard quite a bit about ur flower arrangements and wanted to place a special order for an upcoming wedding."
Haneul’s eyes widened in surprise. Blossom Events was well-known for handling high-profile weddings and major events in the country. She heard alot about them as they arranged great events like Seoul Innovation Expo, weddings of politicians and celebrities and cultural and national festivals. The fact that they had sought her out was nothing short of a dream come true.
"That’s amazing! What kind of arrangement are u looking for?", she asked, her heart pounding with excitement.
"We need a large order of red and white roses for the wedding ceremony and reception.", the man explained, pulling out a notepad.
"It’s a high-end wedding, and the couple wants nothing but the best. We’ve seen ur work, and we’re confident u can deliver."
Haneul glanced over at Rowoon, who gave her an encouraging smile. This was exactly the kind of opportunity she had been hoping for when she opened the shop. The chance to showcase her talents on such a large scale was thrilling.
"How many roses are we talking about?", Haneul asked, trying to keep her excitement in check.
The man flipped through his notes. "We’ll need at least 500 red roses and 500 white roses, along with centerpieces and aisle decorations. The wedding is in two weeks, so we’ll need the arrangements ready a day before the event."Haneul felt a rush of nervous energy. It was a massive order, far bigger than anything she had handled so far, but she knew she could do it. She had Rowoon’s help, and with the experience she’d gained over the past week, she felt confident enough to take on the challenge.
"I can absolutely do that.", Haneul said, her voice steady.
"U’ll have the most beautiful arrangements for the wedding."
The man nodded, clearly pleased with her professionalism.
"Great. I’ll send over the full details later today. We look forward to working with u."As the man left the shop, Haneul stood there for a moment, absorbing what had just happened. She had landed her biggest order yet—an entire wedding’s worth of roses. The excitement bubbled up inside her, but there was also a sense of determination. This wasn’t just a small milestone; it was a huge leap for her business.
Rowoon came over, resting a hand on her shoulder,
"Wow, Hani. That’s huge. A wedding order from Blossom Events? U’re really making a name for urself."
Haneul smiled, a bit breathless,
"I can’t believe it. This is what I’ve always dreamed of, Rowoon. But we’re going to be busy."
"We’ve got this.",Rowoon said confidently.
"I’ll help u every step of the way. And hey, maybe we can rope in Jack too. He’s surprisingly good at heavy lifting.".
Haneul laughed, feeling the weight of her nerves lift slightly,
"Yeah, we might need him."As the day continued, Haneul and Rowoon discussed their plans, outlining the arrangements for the wedding order. Haneul knew this was a chance to prove herself, to show the world—and maybe even herself—that she could succeed on her own terms. And with every rose she handled, she felt more determined to make the event unforgettable.
