Part 5-the new greenie

"-Bella?"

The voices are back, the visions to. People in white lab coats walking past me. I'm laying down on a hospital bed. The cold sheets heating up by the heat of my body and the inches thick mattress making my whole body hurt. I can hear the voices talking to me in a distant. The visions changing every now and then. Now I'm sitting in a chair across from a brown haired boy, he's looking right at me and we're making eye contact. He's seems familiar in a way I can't describe. His warm brown eyes, his slightly tousled hair and his scent. I don't like having these kind of "dreams" it often makes me feel like someone's watching me. But seeing him sitting across me somehow makes me feel more safe, like he wouldn't let anything bad happen to me. A new vision appears from nowhere, I can see frypan, but I don't want to. Not like this, I don't know what to do. He's screaming out the last oxygen that's left in his lungs, looking at me desperately. He bangs on the glass walls surrounding him.
Please Bella I don't want to drown, help me out of this. I can't die, not like this.
His mouthing comes out so clear, even though I can't even hear him. I can't do anything to help him. I know I'm dreaming, but it all feels so real. As if it had already happened before. That's the scary thing about these dreams, I know it's not real but I can smell the scent of hand sanitizer as soon as a adults walks by, I can feel the pain in my back after laying on that uncomfortable bed, I can hear all these small noises your not able to hear when your dreaming. It's like it's real and happening to me right now...

"-Green bean?"

"-No newt let her rest some more, she's going to need it"

"-But what about the new Greenie? She's probably interested in meeting him"

"-As far as I know, the greenie will stay here awhile. You don't need to rush anything"

The visions is getting pushed away by the whispering voices beside my bed. My heart rate slowly cooling down as I'm leaving my somewhat creepy dream. I roll over to my side make the boys think I'm still asleep.

"-Let's go, she'll probably sleep for at least another hour."

Jeff's not a bossy person. But I could hear it on his voice that it wasn't just a proposal, it was more of a command. And even though I have only been in here for about a month I'm quite certain it's alby who's the one commanding people. He's like the strict grandfather who's kinda stuck in the past, and wants everything his own way.

The door to the medjack closes behind them and I allow myself to open my still sleepy eyes. For some reason I wanted to be alone when I was getting up from my little nap. I wanted to be able to wake up without feeling like everyone is watching me.

I know the boys will be watching me a little extra from now on. Especially Alby, he's so protective of me, like I'm a precious little porcelain doll.
Everyone has got this picture of me because I'm the only girl in the glade. They built this image that I'm the sweet innocent girl who wouldn't even hurt a fly, and I'm not a violent person. But I wouldn't hesitate to punch back. I don't mind them thinking I'm nice though, so I do nothing to make them think otherwise. But Alby feeling the need to protect me can get on my nerves sometimes.

The feeling when my feet touches the ground makes me a little more aware of my surroundings. And the sound from my dreams are completely gone by now. As I stand up beside the bed, my eyes goes completely black and my head starts pounding. I have to sit down again.

The dizziness is probably caused by a drop in blood pressure. I recover pretty fast and slowly attempts to stand up again. This time I successfully managed to stand up without having to feel like the whole room is spinning around me. A sandwich would actually make me feel better, and i wouldn't mind taking a little walk around the glade. I was in a coma after all, I need a little bit of exercise. That's probably the only "exercise" Alby will allow me to do from now on.

On my way to the kitchen I see a group of boys surrounding someone. I can hear them, curiously asking questions. I want to know what they are doing, but I have no energy for that right now. I struggle my way to the kitchen, grab the stuff I need for a sandwich and sit down on an empty bench. It's nice to have some alone time, then I can relax and I can come up with theories about the dreams I'm having, why they're feeling so realistic.

Just then I hear someone coming behind me, the boy stops as he's right behind me. His shadow covering me from the sun, it's not cold outside but it's windy. I shiver, and somehow he manages to notice it.

"- oh I'm sorry, didn't mean to cover the sun. It's quite cold isn't it?" A voice I haven't heard before came from behind, and I immediately knew it was the new greenie.

I turn around to meet a tall black haired guy, he's definitely asian. His hair stands up, on it own?...
No he must've got some hair gel with him up in the box.

"- I'm" he stops in the middle of the sentence
"- right, my name isn't back yet. Anyway you can call me greenie like the rest of them"

"-Hi greenie, I'm Bella. I came up last month so I'm also kinda new in the glade." I add a little smile to seem nice, I don't want him thinking I'm mean. That would be a bad first impression.

"- Yeah the boys told me you are the only girl in the glade too. How do you feel about that?"

When he's asking all these questions it kinda feels like an interview, but he's new. And I was the same just a month ago.

"- Yeah, No I don't feel like there's so much difference between me and the others. Just that they're taller and smellier" I hope he understands that that was a joke.

And he does, he smirks and we keep on talking for another hour. We talk about everything, the jobs, the boys in the glades, the food..
