Third Person POV—

Hearing the gunshot voice, Naina's body got stiff as if she forgot to breathe, and her heart stopped beating, thinking about something happening to Jack.

But soon she came to her senses and started banging the door so loudly.

"Jack, open the door. Jack, are you alright?? Please open the door."

She was panicking, thinking something bad had happened to her Jack.

Just when she was about to call Max to open the door. The office door opened, and she saw his parents, where his dad was standing in front of her with the support of his mother, and his mother was holding him by the shoulder so he wouldn't fall. His father was holding his right shoulder, and blood was coming from that side.

Both of them looked at Naina for a moment and then left from there without saying anything.

As they left, Naina, without wasting any time, entered the cabin and saw that Jack was so angry he was breaking things in his office.

"Ugh.... Why does he not let me live my life peacefully? Ughhhhh." Saying this, he throws the table on the ground.

Then, suddenly, Jack looked at the piece of glass, which was just beside his leg, so he bent to take the glass. As Naina saw this, she immediately ran toward him and hugged him from behind.

"Jack, please calm down; please don't hurt yourself... Calm down; see, I'm here for you." She was saying the things that would make him calm down.

But he turned and looked at her with his red eyes. Then, holding her shoulder tightly, he said.

"How will I be calm? Naina, how...? This man and his wife have not let me live in peace from the start. Whenever I started to get some love, some peace, they came and took that away from me. Why can't they see me to be happy for once? And now... Now they want to take you away from me, but I am not going to let them take you away from me."

Then he held her face in his palms and kissed her head.

"But now I will kill them before they even give you a single scratch... I will give them a painful death...ever," he said, and now his eyes became so dark and hard, like he was determined about this.

So Naina held his palm and said.

"Jack, first calm down, okay... And no one is taking me away from you. You know na your Naina is strong, and no one can harm her." She jokes, trying to erase the tension.

"Yeah, I know how strong you are." Saying this, he again kissed her forehead.

"Okay, now tell me what happened here," Naina said and made him sit on the sofa as she was about to sit beside him, but before she could sit on it, he held her by the waist and made her sit on his lap.

Naina put her head on his shoulder and asked him again.

On which he started telling her.

"Nothing, he just came and started barking shit. Which made me angry, and I, without thinking about anything, shot him. I was trying to shoot him in the heart, but that bastard got saved this time, but next time I will make sure to shoot him in the heart." Jack said while gritting his teeth.
