THIS CHAPTER HAD 5K+ WORDS MEANS TWO CHAPTERS IN ONE SO I DESERVE THIS MUCH RIGHT??

In the quiet corridor of the City Hospital, Naina and Jack stood outside the ward, anxiety written all over their faces. Her mother sat on a nearby chair, hands trembling, eyes swollen and streaked with tears that refused to stop. The faint beeping of machines from the ward only deepened the silence around them.

Just then, the door creaked open, and the doctor stepped out, adjusting his stethoscope around his neck. Before they could say anything, he began speaking.

"Don't worry. Your father is fine now," the doctor said with a calm smile. "He lost consciousness because of a sudden spike in his blood pressure, but he's stable. You can take him home in a few hours. Just make sure he avoids stress and gets proper rest."

He gave them a reassuring nod before walking away toward his cabin.

Naina's mother immediately folded her hands, tears glistening in her eyes as she looked up toward the ceiling.
"Hey Devi Maa, tera bahut aabhar hai, Parmeshwara," she whispered, her voice trembling with relief.
("Oh Goddess, thank you so much, Lord.")

Jack turned to Naina, his tone gentle and affectionate.
"Amore, see? I told you he's alright now."

He reached for her hand and squeezed it softly. Naina looked at him, then at her mother, who was still praying silently. A small smile tugged at her lips, though her eyes still shimmered with unshed tears.

"I was so scared, Jack," she whispered, her voice breaking. "I thought I might lose him."

Jack cupped her face, brushing his thumb against her cheek.
"Hey... Don't say that. He's strong, just like his daughter."

For the first time in hours, Naina let out a deep breath. The fear that had gripped her heart slowly began to fade, replaced by gratitude and warmth. She went toward her mother and sat beside her.

"Maa," she called softly.

Her mother looked at her with weary eyes.
"Maa, kya aap... aap mujhse gussa hain?" Naina asked hesitantly, her voice barely above a whisper.
("Mom, are you... Are you frustrated with me?")

After a pause, her mother sighed, then gently patted her head.
"Aaj jo kuch bhi hua, wo nahi hona chahiye tha," she said softly. "Ab jo ho chuka hai, usse hum badal nahi sakte, lekin jo hone wala hai, usse toh badal sakte hain."

("What happened today shouldn't have happened. We can't change what's already done, but we can change what's going to happen.").

Her mother's words carried both forgiveness and hope. Naina nodded and rested her head on her mother's shoulder, finding comfort in her warmth.
