"What's this teacher like that everyone keeps mentioning?" Delilah asked, cracking her knuckles to prepare herself for whatever was coming.

"A moody jerk, that's what," Damien grumbled, a small pout forming on his lips as his shoes clattered on the floor.

"He's not that bad, he just... has problems, that's all! I think he's going through a divorce right now..." Ophelia defended, an awkward yet empathetic smile playing on her lips.

"No, it's not that... He's already divorced, but he lost custody of his kids back then, so he's just a martial arts master turned alcoholic," William mumbled as he held the door to the training grounds open for the rest of the group to walk through.

"How do you know that? As a matter of fact, how do you know everything?" Estelle questioned, sliding her jacket off and throwing it on the nearest bench as soon as she stepped outside.

"I... have my ways. Now stop asking questions," William warns, his tone definitely more aggressive than he intended it to be.

"You're late! You're supposed to be setting an example, you careless kids!" the teacher scolds, his wrinkled skin twisting in a frown.

"Yeah, you clowns. Set an example for once," Christopher mocks, an arrogant smirk spreading on his lips.

"Do you ever—like—think? Before you spew out your regular horseshit, I mean," Damien spits back, his eyes narrowing in annoyance.

"Funny coming from the dumb rodent that can barely form a coherent thought-"

"Enough! We have training to do! Line up!" the teacher yells, his voice hoarse as he walks closer to the students lining up.
