Chapter 9

Happy Reading loves. XO. 

The Sound of the door being slammed shut wakes me up, but i don't sit up. I instead turn my back towards the door and face the sofa cushions. I hear heavy footsteps heading my way. I feel Eric kneel behind me and he places a hand on my thigh. "Are you going to tell me what happened?" How calm his voice sounded and not one hit of alcohol hit my nose, made me turn around and face him. 

He was still mad, his eyes and jaw giving him away. "Take me to get some food in my system, then we'll talk" I say sitting up. "And give me your slice of cake" 

Eric shakes his head and picks me up bridal style for the third time today. "Then i expect to know every single detail. Including how that trainer...."

"His name is Dylan" I quickly interrupt him frowning.

"How that... Dylan ends up finding out before i did" He looks at me with a serious face and I knew he wasn't playing around. 

"Fine" I say breaking eye contact "Can we get some food now?!" I make sure to whine extra childish to piss him off even more. He takes a deep breath, clearly frustrated with me already and we leave the apartment. 

"You don't have to carry me you know" I say looking down at my hands. 

"Haze, shut up. I just want silence. Please" His hold on me tightens and I snap. 

"You know. Nobody told you to take 'care' of me" I make sure to do the quotation marks with my fingers.  " You could have saved yourself a lot of stress if you had let some other dauntless step in and be assigned to do the job." 

"Right, and who do you think would step up and take on the responsibility to take care of the drama filled daughter of one of the most important leaders?" 

"Four" I say as if i was stating a fact that he should already know. 

"Four, Four, Four. Why does everything have to be about fucking Four?!" He stops walking and looks down at me.

I make sure to make eye contact frowning. "Because maybe he's better than you?" 

I expected him to give me a smartass answer but instead he places me on my feet. "You know what? you're right go on and have Four or your little trainer boyfriend protect you. I am done!!" He lets go of me and walks back to the direction we came from. 

"Are you fucking kidding me?!" I scream in frustration and start limping towards the cafeteria.

After a while of limping I finally reach the cafeteria. After grabbing a burger, a bowl of fruit and orange juice, I sit down at the first empty table I see. The cafeteria is surprisingly empty so it wasn't hard to find one. I feel someone watching me but i quickly shake it off not wanting to give them any attention. 

I although do quickly turn around when i hear Lynn's annoying voice shouting Eric's name. Without intending to I make eye contact with Eric and he quickly walks over to where Lynn is standing with her friends that include Uriah. I roll my eyes and get up to go grab a piece of chocolate cake that had been just placed.

While walking back to my table i notice both Eric and Lynn leaving the cafeteria. I can't help but feel a little nauseous. There was no way i was staying in his apartment tonight. Or ever.
