As the sun rose on Saturday, a holiday morning, Seraphina felt a flutter of excitement. Today was the day she would meet her friends Mors and Serene for coffee, a promise made the night before.

She stood in her bedroom, contemplating her outfit. Choosing a black French Vintage Small Fragrant Tweed dress, she admired its elegant silhouette that hugged her figure just right. The fabric, soft yet structured, exuded a timeless charm, perfect for a casual yet stylish gathering.

Next, she reached for her favorite fragrance, Chanel Comète Eau De Parfum. A few spritzes enveloped her in a captivating aroma, blending notes of floral and woody undertones that felt both fresh and sophisticated.

Seraphina then styled her hair into a graceful French braid, allowing a few delicate strands to frame her face. Completing her look, she adorned herself with a simple yet elegant necklace and a pair of matching earrings that caught the light beautifully.

Feeling satisfied with her reflection, she took a moment to appreciate her ensemble before heading downstairs, eager to embrace the day and the company of her friends.

Seraphina's POV

"Mom, I'll be out for a while. I'll be back before six," I called out, glancing at my mother as she tended to the plants in our garden. Her gentle smile was reassuring, but I had almost forgotten something important.

I hurried back upstairs to water my beloved flower, a Ghost Orchid, which had flourished remarkably in recent days. The sender of this exquisite flower remained a mystery, but I chose not to dwell on uncertainties that I couldn't control.

"Be careful on your way, honey, and don't forget to call me," my mom reminded me, her voice laced with concern.
"Alright, Mom," I replied, stepping outside to wait for the taxi I had called earlier that morning.

The warm summer breeze caressed my skin as I stood at the bus stop, my mind racing with anticipation for the day ahead.

After a few minutes, the taxi arrived, and I settled into the back seat, the excitement bubbling within me as we drove toward our meeting place.

Just then, a text from Mors popped up on my phone: "Should I pick you up, angel?" Surprised, I quickly typed back, "No, never mind. I'm already on my way. ;)" adding a smiley emoji to lighten the mood.

Moments later, my phone rang. It was Serene. "Um, Seraphina, it seems like I can't join you two today. You both have fun, alright? I've got things to do," she said, her tone noticeably downcast.

"What do you mean, Serene? Can you tell me?" I asked, my concern deepening. Serene had always been there for me, and her sudden absence left me feeling a bit uneasy.

"No, it's nothing. I'm really busy today, okay? Just have fun!" she replied, her voice suddenly brightening.
I could sense a hint of forced cheerfulness in her tone, but I decided not to press the matter further.

"Alright then, talk later, okay?" I said before hanging up, still puzzled by her abrupt change in mood. I made a mental note to check on her later, hoping that everything was alright.

When I finally arrived at the coffee shop, I was struck by its luxurious ambiance. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the soft murmur of conversation created a cozy atmosphere that instantly put me at ease.

As I stepped inside, my breath hitched at the sight of Mors sitting elegantly at a table. The sunlight streaming through the window illuminated his features, making him look almost ethereal.

I must have caught his attention because he turned to me, a warm smile spreading across his face. I approached our table, feeling a rush of excitement. Mors had always been a mystery to me. But lately, I couldn't help but notice the way my heart fluttered whenever he was near.
