Mors's POV
Before I headed out, an overwhelming urge consumed me: I had to ensure that Serene would not join my date with my Czarina today.
Her presence always diverted my angel's attention away from me, and I couldn't have that. So, I enlisted Nero's help, instructing him to handle the situation discreetly.
I had faith in his ability; after all, he had a knack for making things happen without drawing unwanted attention.Nero executed his task flawlessly. He managed to intimidate Serene's father into keeping her at home, ensuring she wouldn't be anywhere near us today.
A dark thought crossed my mind: perhaps it would be better if she's dead and out of the picture entirely. I quickly dismissed it, reminding myself that my focus needed to remain solely on my Czarina.I planned to pick up my angel, but I didn’t want her to grow suspicious about how I knew her address. So, I casually asked her where she was, and she replied that she was on her way.
"She must be in a cab," I thought to myself, a sense of satisfaction washing over me. With that, I took my car keys and headed to my vehicle, anticipation bubbling within me.
As I drove to the café, a sense of fulfillment enveloped me. This café was an excellent choice—quiet, upscale, and frequented by the wealthy. It was the perfect environment to treat my Czarina like the precious gem she was. I imagined how she would feel surrounded by elegance, and it thrilled me.
Upon entering the café, the manager greeted me with a professional demeanor. “Sir, may I take you to your reserved table?” he asked, his tone respectful.
“Sure,” I replied, my cold demeanor causing a ripple of unease among the staff. I relished the effect I had on them; it was a reminder of the power I wielded.
I waited for what felt like an eternity—ten minutes—for my Czarina to arrive. Suddenly, I sensed her presence and turned my head. There she was, my Czarina, dressed in a stunning black dress that hugged her curves perfectly. She looked incredibly alluring, and I couldn't suppress the dark thoughts that invaded my mind. I flashed her my charming smile as she approached our table, the anticipation of our meeting electrifying the air around us.
“Angel, you look gorgeous,” I said, genuinely complimenting her. I could see she had put a lot of effort into her appearance today, and it made my heart swell with admiration.
In my eyes, she was always beautiful, but today she seemed to shine brighter than ever. I couldn't help but smirk at the thought of how much more stunning she would look in my shirt.
An angelic voice pulled me from my thoughts. “Thank you, Mors. You look handsome too,” she replied, her cheeks flushing a delightful shade of pink. I could see her eyes roaming over my body, clearly appreciating what she saw, and it filled me with a sense of pride.
After a while, my Czarina brought up Serene, and I smirked internally, knowing she wouldn’t be joining us. I quickly masked my amusement with a concerned expression. “That’s too bad. Let’s enjoy ourselves today,” I said, eager to change the subject and focus on the moment we shared.
Just then, the waitress approached our table, my Czarina looking flustered under my intense gaze. We placed our drink orders and waited a moment, engaging in light conversation about trivial matters. The atmosphere was charged with excitement, and I could sense the chemistry between us growing stronger.
Once we finished our drinks, I had a surprise planned for my angel—something I was sure she would love. However, it seemed she had something else in mind. I put on my best upset puppy face, a look so unlike me, but I was willing to do anything to possess my Czarina. She agreed, albeit reluctantly, and I took her hand, leading her to my car.
