What Would You Do for Love

Chapter 2

We eventually got to the store and Mom keeps trying to make me get this really sexy dress to wear to the fair.
"Mom I'm going to the fair not a freaking club."
So Mom drops it and walks away and she starts looking at clothes for her. So I decided I wanted high waist shorts and a cute shirt. The shorts are so cute because they're black and then the pockets have little stars all over them. The shirt is a see through, teal colored, button up shirt with little anchors everywhere. Mom was even nice enough to buy me these really cute flip flops, they go between my toes and then they have a cute turquoise bow on the top of my foot. So I'm really happy that I'll look cute on my first date in a long time I just hope I didn't over do it.

Right when I get home my phone starts going off and I was expecting a call from Karly, but it was actually Josh. I shockingly answered and he was wondering if I'd like to go to the movies with him sometime and I said "We'd go as friends right? Nothing more nothing less?" So he agreed finally so he wanted to go tonight and I told him I couldn't. He got mad and thought I was blowing him off, but I had to explain that I'm already going on a date tomorrow and it's late. Then he started saying " You'll always find a way to replace me." And "I bet you never loved me after everything I done for you." And just bull like that. So I hung up because it was almost two o'clock in the morning and I have a big day tomorrow at the fair. The fair isn't that big, I mean I guess it's middle sized fair. I'm just nervous because I never went to the fair with a guy before and I don't know how it's going to work out. Also I'm a little scared of heights so I guess no Ferris wheel for me.

It's Thursday and I wake up to see I have a voicemail for me at seven o'clock in the morning saying "Hey gorgeous just thought I should call and give you the plan but I guess you're still asleep, but please text me your address and I'll be there around eleven thirty a.m and I can't wait to see you today." After laying in bed for about thirty minutes I decided to get up and start getting ready. Around ten o'clock a.m I was ready for the fair, but then I
ended up falling asleep and I woke up to Lee standing in my room waking me up. I felt horrible because I wanted to be ready when he got there and be prepared and not be sleeping like normal. I guess I was tired from talking to Josh all night about my date today. Lee is just standing there, looking around my room and all of a sudden he sees my Guns N' Roses poster. He walked over and just stares at the poster like its a billion dollars. "Are you okay?" I asked.
He ignores me and keeps staring at the poster so I get up and walk over to him. "Lee what's wrong?" I ask him. Then he turns to me and says "I'm so shocked you like them, I mean I thought I was the only fan besides old people."
"You like Guns N' Roses?!" I say shockingly.
" Of course," he said smiling, "I grew up on that stuff!"
"Okay okay, if they're you favorite then what's your favorite song by them?"
" Probably You Could Be Mine."
"No way!"
"Yes way!"
"That's my favorite too!"
"Wow we have a lot in common," he said with this huge smile, "But we should probably get going to the fair."
"Yea of course." I say while kinda wanting to stay home and just talk about each other. We walk outside and I reached for the door handle, but he comes up out of nowhere and open the door for me. "Here you go madam." he says with a smile. I start laughing and say "Thank you sir.". I sit in his truck and I'm just thinking why would he choose me? I mean I'm not pretty like other girls and I'm not that sexy so I don't know what he sees in me. He hops in the truck and turns on the radio and says "And we're off!". I really like him a lot, I mean I never thought running into someone at a gas station would lead to a date. I look over and he keeps glancing at me and the road. Then I say "What, why are you looking at me like that?"
"Because I have a gorgeous girl that's in my truck with me," he says with a grin, "I never thought I'd literally run into the most beautiful girl in the world." I wonder if he can read minds because I was just thinking how I never thought I'd literally run into someone and then go on a date with them.

We pull into the fairgrounds and get in out of the truck. We walk up to the ticket booth and we have to stand in line for about thirty minutes or so. While we're waiting he says "Wow I really like your outfit, it looks amazing on you."
"Thanks, I like your outfit too." I say while checking him out. He's wearing a white T-Shirt, a light blue button up shirt that's unbuttoned, blue jeans, cowboy boots, and his hair is on point. His hair is quaffed and he looks so sexy with his outfit, hair, just everything. I never thought he'd be the country type, but people can surprise you. Finally we get to the ticket booth and we decided to get the wristbands which was only about ten dollars each so it wasn't that bad. "So, what do you want to ride first?" He asked.
