Chapter 4

Last night I had a dream that Lee did make a bet on me so now I'm sorta panicking because I thought he actually cared but I hope it's nothing. So I messaged him and said " Hey sorry I didn't answer last night I fell asleep and I need to talk to you about something as soon as possible come over around twelve p.m." So I start getting ready and take a shower. Then I put on white shorts with American flag design on the pockets, a galaxy tank top, and my hair up in a messy bun. Then I hear a knock at the door and I look and see it's Lee so I open the door. "Come on in, you can sit on the couch if you want." He walks over and sits down and asked " What's wrong I came as fast as I could?" I know he's trying to butter me up or he's playing stupid so I say "Okay well, yesterday there was a guy..."
"A guy? Why didn't you tell me? I would've helped or told him off." He interrupted me.
"Let me finish please thank you."
" Go ahead."
" Okay but anyways there was a guy that gave you a thumbs up and you kinda pointed at me and shook your head and I was wondering what the thumbs up was about and please be honest I don't want to be lied to."
"Oh... he's just a friend saying hi" he hesitated.
" Lee seriously don't lie just tell me the truth."
"Fine I'll come clean, we made two bets to see how far I could get with you and the other bet was that I wouldn't be able to find a date to take to the fair."
I stayed silent and I felt my eyes starting to tear up.
"Anna I'm sorry I didn't know that I'd actually have feelings for you. Please forgive me."
"Lee I can't believe you! I actually liked you and ugh I just can't believe you!" I turn to go to my room.
"Anna where are you going? What are you doing?"
I go and get his shirt and come back in the living room and throw it at him and say " get out of my house and I want you to delete my phone number and stop messaging me!"
"Anna I said I'm sorry."
"Sorry doesn't always fix your problems! Just please get out of my house and never come around me again this is goodbye Lee."
"Anna please don't be this way I'm begging you."
"Lee, just go!" I say as I slam the door behind him. I can't believe he treated me like that I actually thought he was different and I thought he cared but I guess I was just gullible. I'm so mad and guys need to realize not to mess with girls emotions because it's not cool at all and it hurts a lot. I'm so done with him so I call Karly and tell her I need her over as soon as possible that it's an emergency. About ten minutes later she comes in and walks in my room. She seeing me upset and asks " Okay so what's the emergency?"
"Well you know how I told you about Lee?"
"Yeah?"
"Well he made a bet on me with his friend to see how far he could get with me and his friend betted that Lee couldn't find a date to take to the fair."
"Where is he? I swear to god I'll kill him for hurting you. No one gets away with playing with my sister's feelings!" That's what I love about Karly we're not sisters but we're close enough to be and she's always there for me. "I'll be fine I just needed someone to rant to and you was the first person I thought of."
"Well I'm glad you thought of me but seriously I knew you could've done better than him but I just kept it to myself."
" Seriously Karly? Why didn't you say anything?"
"Because I knew you needed to get out the house because you've been all about work so I just didn't say anything I'm sorry though."
"Its fine I understand why you done it I'm just so mad that he played me like that."
" I know but it'll be okay Anna I promise and I'm sure you'll find the perfect one soon enough don't worry about it he was just a jerk don't play him no mind, you understand?"
"Sadly yes, I mean I actually thought me and him would have a thing but he messed it all up."
"Yea, well Anna I know this is off topic but have you talked to Josh recently?"
"Maybe why?" I said confusingly.
Oh... Well I'm not supposed to tell you, I thought he would've told you by now though."
" I mean he asked me to the movies why? Is there something else?"
"You'll have to ask him about it because I think he'd want to tell you instead of me, I'm sorry Anna but maybe you should talk to him about it."
"Fine I will later." I say after a few minutes of silence.
"Okay Anna well I hate to leave but I have to go pick up Daniel." Daniel is Karly's boyfriend who she's been with for about two or three years I think.
"Okay girl love ya message me when you get home."
"Okay I will love ya too girl." I just can't believe Josh told Karly something and didn't tell me and I can't believe Karly didn't tell me. So I decided to message Josh saying " Hey, Karly just came over and she said you told her something but she wouldn't tell me and told me to message you about about and yes I did think about the movies and I think that's a great idea but I'm picking the movie lol mmb (message me back)." I think that was a good message and I've been thinking about it and I think us being friends again would be fun. I don't see a problem with it and to be honest I've missed him... a lot actually.
