She was asleep and we went downstairs. I told Pedri to start the game and I quickly grabbed glass and filled it with water and went upstairs to carefully place it on a table for Amelia when she wakes up. She is acting differently recently and I have no clue why.
"Do you think she's okay?" Pedri said, I bet he's traumatized after what Ams did to him today.
"I don't know what that was about and I am so sorry about the whole situation. She's been a bit different since she got those ugly flowers. Maybe she met up with Catalina somehow or she's missing her dad or I don't know, she won't tell me."
"There's 100% something that she's not telling us. I hate to be this person to say this but you need to take her phone to see if there's anything, messages, notes, just anything. Maybe you will find a reason why she's like this."
"You're right. She left her phone here. I will look at the messages first." I saw that she recently messaged me, obviously, Marco, Pedri and some unknown number? I looked at the messages. "Look Pedri." I showed him.
"What the? We should call the number, she met with this person today for sure and the person said something to her that made her worried, Gavi she came here all worried."
"I know. Okay, I am calling."
"Don't say anything until they say something, okay hermano?"
"Okay." I called the number and put it on speaker so we both could hear.
"Hello Amalia, wait a second please."
Pedri was in shock. "What's up?" I mouthed.
"That's Catalina's voice." Pedri said.
We heard that she handed someone the phone. Another woman was speaking.
"Hello Amalia, you probably wonder who's voice is this. It's been a long time, you were so little so you probably don't even remember. Yes, you guessed it, I am your mother. So what do you say? Will you do our agreement?" I was quiet and looked at Pedri, when we both realised that I was quiet for too long. "Amalia?"
Pedri was weirdly moving his hands, was he okay? "Talk." he whispered.
"You good?" I whispered back and he almost laughed.
"Hello, I'm her boyfriend Pablo. What agreement are you talking about?"
"That she will pay us 150k euros."
"Hold on please."
Pedri told me to mute. So I did.
"What was the thing you were doing with your hands?"
"I was trying to show you that you should say something ,but that doesn't matter now. We should pay it so she can get rid of them and finally live her life." Pedri said.
"No, I will. I can't let you do that, I'm her boyfriend." I said and I unmuted myself. "I will give you 250k if you leave Amalia alone and never speak to her again."
"Then the deal is done."
"Let me solve everything out, because it's higher amount then my bank approves and later I will tell you where to meet and we make it happen. By now you should have received my phone number so we can stay in touch. Today you will get the money. But I don't want to see any of you near Pedri or Amalia again, understood?"
"Understood." Amalia's mother said and I ended up the call, deleted my message so Ams doesn't suspect anything and I got up.
"Pedri, please I beg you, take care of Ams for me until I'm back. I will go to the bank and solve this. Tell her I went to Fermín's house, urgency. She can't know about this. I will call Fermín to cover up for me if it is necessary."
"Alright hermanito, don't worry. I will take care of her. And you be careful you never know." he said and hugged me.
"Don't worry hermano, I will. Maybe you could look at some houses? We all need to move out as soon as possible to keep Ams safe, but don't tell her anything. I will deal with it tomorrow."
"Okay, yes."
Pedri's pov:
Pablo left and I searched for some houses. I called some people. We will have three houses to look at tomorrow and two the day after. I had to lie a bit, but at least we got a chance to look at some houses tomorrow. But please don't tell my mother. She doesn't need to know.
After a while I see my best friend walking downstairs.
"Hi." I said with a lower voice and went to hug her.
"Hi. Look Pedri I am so sorry. I was just overwhelmed and maybe I- ."
"It's okay, don't worry. Are you feeling better?" I interrupted her.
"A bit. Where's Pablo?"
"He went to Fermín's house. Some urgency. He asked for Gavi's help."
"Okay" she said.
"Lay down on the couch, laugh at me and relax. I will make dinner. Pray for me, ahah."
"Thank you Pedri." she smiled at me with her grateful smile.
Pablo's pov:
I solved it, now time to deal with them so Ams can have a normal life. She was dealing with a lot, from helping her dad, struggling to actually loosing her dad. I want to be here for her and protect her.

I got there. I was waiting and I saw two women walking towards me. It had to be them.
"Oh hello, you must be Pablo." one of the women said.
"Yes, I am and you?"
"I'm Amalia's mother."
"Great, give me the details for the transaction and I will send you the money." they gave me everything I needed and I did it. I send them money. "Now you'll never contact Amelia again, you will never come near her or near Pedri, right ?"
"This is the SIM card we used for contacting Amalia." she said and throw it
to the bin. "Look kiddo, we got what we wanted, there's no need to contacting my daughter again." she said and they left so I did too.
I got back home and I saw Amalia waiting for me with Pedri.
"Hi." I said and I kissed her. "Feeling better?"
"Yes, I am. What Fermín wanted?"
"He wanted his parents to invite somewhere special so we were looking at some places. I showed him something, he didn't like that, we argued, we changed the plan, you know how it goes..."
"Oh, okay. Let's go eat."she smiled at me and took my hand leading me to the table.
