The group found themselves inside a moving ball-like contraption, its interior dimly lit and slightly swaying with the motion. Deadpool woke up, groggily realizing that he was standing up with his head resting on Wolverine's shoulder. He blinked a few times before speaking.
"How long was I asleep?" Deadpool asked, lifting his head and looking at Wolverine.
"Not all of you was asleep," Wolverine grunted, indicating the rope that tied them both around the waist, keeping them secured.
Deadpool glanced down at the rope and sighed. "Of course, they tied us up. I was hoping for a nice nap."
"Don't bother," Johnny said from across the ball, seated on a bench with his hands tied. He looked a bit worn out but still alert.
Next to Johnny, Harper and Blade sat, their hands also bound. Harper gave a small nod. "We're very thorough," she added, her tone flat.
Wolverine's gaze shifted to Harper, his eyes narrowing with unresolved anger. "You know where we are," he growled, his voice carrying a weight of frustration and mistrust. "Start talking."
Harper looked at Wolverine, her expression serious. "You're in The Void. Think of it as purgatory. Reed called it a metaphysical junkyard where anything useless goes before it gets annihilated forever. It's where the TVA sends people who don't play nice with the rest of the multiverse."
Wolverine narrowed his eyes at her. "Like you?" he asked, his tone accusatory.
Johnny Storm cut in before Harper could respond. "And you," he pointed out to Wolverine, who just rolled his eyes in response.
Deadpool, always one to jump in with questions, piped up. "What does the annihilating?"
"Alioth," Harper answered, her voice carrying a note of grim recognition.
Blade, who had been sitting quietly next to Harper, perked up at the mention. "Alioth? Like from Loki? Season 1, episode 5?" she asked, her eyes wide with a mix of awe and concern.
Johnny looked at Blade, then back at Deadpool, nodding. "Yeah, everyone here is on the run from Alioth. Most don't make it. There's a resistance, though—other people like us who've managed to survive. We're hiding out in the borderlands, trying to find a way the hell out of here."
Wolverine's eyes narrowed as he processed Harper's words. "Then that's where we go," he said decisively, glancing at Deadpool before turning his gaze to Blade.
Deadpool, ever the opportunist, jumped in. "We? Us? A team? The answer is yes. Shake on it..." He extended his hand toward Wolverine, but before Wolverine could respond, his claws instinctively popped out.
"Fuck! You nicked it. Just got the tip with your little steak knife," Deadpool complained, shaking his hand as if trying to shake off the sting.
Ignoring Deadpool's antics, Wolverine focused on Johnny. "These others can help us get back to the TVA. They can fix things."
But Johnny started laughing, a bitter, almost mocking sound. Wolverine's expression darkened. "Something funny, Bub?" he growled.
