I was getting Matt ready for the day when Bianca and Tessa came rushing into the bedroom. Chris was gone away filming, Matt was 6 months old and I told Chris to go that I could handle it on my own, problem being I wasn't handling it well at all.

"Mom, we have to go!" Bianca said.

"I know, is Jack ready?" I asked.

"Is he supposed to be?" Bianca asked and I just looked at her as I picked Matt up.

"Bianca I asked you to help him brush his teeth and get dressed. You said you would help out since dad was gone." I said.

"And he told me no! He said you had to do it! Actually he wanted dad to do it but when I told him dad still wasn't home he threw stuffed animals at me." Bianca said and growled.

"Can you sit with Matt while I get your brother ready?" I asked and she nodded. I then rushed upstairs to find Jack ruining a Lego project him and Chris had been working on.

"Hey! Stop!" I rushed over and pulled him away from it.

"I'm mad!" He snapped.

"I get it but we don't throw things at our sister or destroy projects you and dad are working on. What are you mad about?" I asked.

"Dad was supposed to be here by now! He was going to get time off and come home so we could go to the pumpkin patch together!"

I sighed and pinched the bridge of my nose. "I know buddy but here's the thing, dad is busy, he couldn't come home. But we are going to meet Mimi, Uncle Scott, Aunt Carly and your cousins there. It's going to be a fun day. Now can we please get you ready?" I asked and he just nodded, staying silent. I knew he was mad but I didn't have a choice. I heard Matt crying from downstairs as I finished getting Jack ready.

"Matty!! What's wrong?!" Jack went running from the room to check on his brother. I pulled out my cellphone as I walked down the stairs.

Rose: You sure you can't catch a plane and get here in the next 5 minutes?

I was surprised by the quick answer.

Chris: If I could, I would. Problem this morning with the kids?

Rose: Yeah, usually that happens when you start a tradition with them and then can't make it home to do said tradition.

I didn't get a response so I knew he sensed my upset and wasn't going to push it any further.

"Okay can we get a picture of you guys before we leave?" I asked and they all posed, Bianca holding a now calm Matt. Jack seemed to be all he wanted.

I got Matt in his carrier, Tessa got Dodger on the leash and we headed out. When we got in the car I sighed placing my forehead on the steering wheel.

"Mom?" Bianca asked and I just shook my head slightly sitting back up.

"I'm okay Bumblebee." I said with a forced smile and she gave me a small smile back.

We drove to the pumpkin patch and got out. Lisa and Scott met me as I parked and helped get everyone and everything loaded. Lisa got the kids as Scott set up the stroller for Matt.

"We were wondering if you were going to make it." Lisa said and I groaned.

"We had a small meltdown while getting ready. Someone wanted his dad here to get him ready." I said and Lisa just half nodded. Bianca and Tessa were then arguing over who got to hold Dodgers leash.

"Hey! I'll fix this right now." I said taking his leash and tying it to the stroller.

We walked through the patch, looking at the activities and the pumpkins we would get for the house.

Each kid was begging me for something I just felt like I was about to snap.

"Scott, take the kids through the corn maze." Lisa said and the kids got excited. Lisa guided me to a bench to sit on, Matt still in his stroller and Dodger still with me.

"I don't mean to sound horrible right now but you don't know how much I love that Scott took them away right now." I admitted and Lisa sighed.

"I get it, I've been there Rose." Lisa said.

"It's just when Chris is here I have someone to tag in or at least an extra set of hands. When it's just me with a 6 month old and the other kids I just can't deal sometimes." I said and Lisa just nodded.

"Would you like me to take the kids tonight? I can take them all to my house, Scott is staying with me and Carly is too with her kids. You can have a break." Lisa said.

"I don't want a break Ma, I just want help." I said.

"So you stay with us as well. Stay in Chris's room. The kids will stay in the play room and I can even take Matt for the night so you can sleep." Lisa suggested and I smiled.

"I think I like that idea actually." I said and I hugged Lisa. I was going to have help and it was going to be amazing.

Later that night we were at Lisa's. The kids all camped together in the living room, Dodger was with them, Lisa had Matt in her room and I slept in Chris's room.

The next morning I woke up to the smell of breakfast being cooked and my stomach growled. I walked out of the room and ran into Scott in the hallway.

"Smells like Ma is making breakfast." Scott said as Carly joined us and we walked downstairs. The kids were all still asleep so we tiptoed around them. We all gasped when we practically ran into Lisa coming out of her room on the first floor.

"Aren't you cooking?" I asked in a whisper to not wake the kids.

"No, I thought it was one of you." Lisa said and we shook our heads. We then all rushed to the kitchen and I saw him standing at the stove.

"Chris?!" I asked trying to stay quiet. He turned around to see me and rushed to hug him. "How did you know we were here?!" I asked.

Lisa took over cooking so I could talk to Chris.

"Ma sent me a picture of Matt last night he was looking really cute in his sleep so knew you had to be here. I got in this morning, left everyone sleep and decided to make breakfast." Chris said and I just shook my head, wrapping him in a hug again.

"How long are you home?" Lisa asked.

"Until after the first of the year. I didn't want to miss Halloween or anything else with the kids." Chris said and I smiled.

"They will be happy to see you." I smiled. Chris looked at me and pulled me away for privacy out on the private back deck.

"I'm more worried about you Rose. You look tired and worn out. I mean you stayed with Ma." Chris said and I sighed placing my forehead on his chest.

"4 kids, very opinionated, very energetic kids and a baby...it's a lot." I said and Chris kissed the top of my head.

"That's why when I go back filming, you all are coming. You need me and I need you and the kids too. I don't like being away. We will get the older kids a tutor and everything but you're coming." Chris said and I looked up at him.

"Have I told you how much I love you?" I asked with a smile.

"Not yet." Chris smiled.

I stood up on my tip toes and Chris slightly leaned down.

"How about I show you?" I questioned and Chris smiled leaning fully in to passionately kiss me.

"DAD'S HOME!" Jack yelled interrupting our kiss and rubbing outside. Chris smiled hugging Jack and the girls as they arrived.

Finally my family was complete again.
