"Weekly uploads" I said, well I lied, sorry, but I'm finally back to school and weirdly enough having school gives me motivation, I think it's cause I tend to hate myself while schools happening so writing fanfiction is like my sweet escape. any who, sorry for kinda venting, ENJOY!
Days passed, more specifically two, they had the Monday off, but tragically Tuesday had too come eventually. The bell rang, children flooded the halls. One thing on all their minds, lunch.
"Hey Rocky!" Everest ran up to the boy. "How's AP chemistry?"
"It's alright, my teacher seems to never stop talking but I can do the work without her so I've been fine." Rocky said grinning, having friends was still kind of new to him, or at least many friends. "How was English?"
"Meh, it wasn't really any fun, we're starting a new book...lord of the fleas?"
"Flies."
"Yeah that!"
The two walked, eventually making it to the library, finding their way to a room closed off with their friends.
"Hey Eve!" Marshal said, jumping from his chair to hug the girl who had just walked in.
"Hey Marsh!" Everest responded, smiling, as soon as Marshal got off, Everest handed him a container.
"What's this for?" He asked, opening to find a whole container of tatter tots, he excitedly started eating some. "Thank you so much Eve, these are my favorite!" He said, giving her a peck on the cheek before he sat back down on the floor. Everest looked around to see there wasn't chairs or even a table, just the group all sitting on the ground.
"Is nobody going to ask about the nicknames?" Zuma said, looking weirdly at the two, before going back to his food.
"Meh, I just sort of assumed they were dating since Saturday when we had the misfortune of seeing that make out sesh." Rocky chipped in, walking over to Zuma and sitting next to him.
"Why don't we ask about your weird food, what kind of shitty burger is that." Skye said.
"It's not a burger, it's Loco Moco. It's a Hawaiian dish my mom taught me how to make before she passed. It's three layers of rice, a patty, and an egg on top, covered in gravy, it's actually really good if you want to try some." Zuma said, chopping a piece off with his fork, and offering it to Skye. She toke a bite and smiled.
"Woah that is good! You've got to teach me the recipe." She said. Zuma smiled and looked at her.
"I can text it to you." And she nodded, but Zuma felt some hair poke his other arm, and when he looked over, he saw Rocky taking a piece with his own fork, eating it before it could be stolen. "Pardon! I know it's good but it's still my lunch!"
Rocky laughed slightly, opening his lunch box and passing Zuma an apple. "Consider it repaid." Zuma laughed.
"How about you come over and I'll make you some food, I've been getting back into Hawaiian cooking recently and could use an excuse to make a big overhaul of food."
"Actually, me and Chase usually go to the beach." Marshal interrupted. "It's sort of far but it's lovely, why don't you all join us. Plus then Zuma can cook to his hearts content, and we can all hangout."
"Oh yeah that would be sweet, but Marshal are you sure this isn't just an excuse to see Everest in a swim suit?" Chase teased lightly, Marshal blushed.
"Hey I'm allowed to want to see my girlfriend without it being freaky!" Marshal defended, getting the surprise of all who didn't know.
"Girlfriend!?" Skye started coughing and chocking on her food.
"Skye why are you surprised, we were talking about it!" Everest asked.
"Yeah I know but I didn't think you'd get official in two days." Skye said, after readjusting herself. "Not that it's a negative thing, I just didn't see you as the quick type."
"Well, maybe there's just something about Marshal." Everest said, grabbing his hand and blushing, his balm was soft.
"Ew gross!" Skye said, playfully sticking her tongue out. "Are you not surprised Chase?"
Chase just shrugged, "We talked about Everest in the bed, me and Marshal, and the way he described her, I guessed she meant a lot, so I'm not really surprised."
"Dang we talked about you both way differently." Skye said under her breath, but they kept on.
The conversation shifted to everyone congratulating them.
"Hey Marsh?" Chase asked.
"Hmm? What's up?" Marshal responded.
"What's it like dating? Like is it nice?" He asked.
"...yeah, it is, or at least it's nice dating someone who respects you and you both agree you mean the world to each other." He responded, blushing, they hadn't noticed the others stopped their own conversations to listen, it was probably something about the possible tea they'd hear.
"Really? I'm glad you found someone like that." Chase smiled, it was nice to hear his best friend felt nice.
"Well, maybe you will too." Marshal said.
"Really? I hope so." Chase responded.
"Yeah, maybe that person will ask you to the Fall Dance this year." Marshal said, leaning back to be closer to Everest, but Skye noticed he tapped her shoulder.
"Wait...was that a callout!" Skye thought to herself, looking at Marshal grinning at her and Everest raising her eyebrows.
Skye swiftly took out her phone. "YOU TOLD MARSHAL!!!" She typed, sending it to Everest.
"Girl it was lowkey obvious." Everest responded, and Skye blushed to herself.
"Huh, the dance...maybe having a date could be cool, alright Skye, you know what that means. You've got until the Fall Dance to ask Chase." She thought.
